Easter fun at cabin 38 - we made fab Easter decorations to decorate the cabin and its door. Ate hot cross buns, decorated biscuits and made easter 🐣 nests to go home.

Today in lunch club / life skills, our group did an amazing job preparing and cooking their own chilli con carne, followed by making jelly for dessert! 🌶️🍮

Great teamwork, independence, and some fantastic cooking skills on display—well done everyone!

Clients of the month!
Brendan—he received lots of nominations as he has been an absolute pleasure since his very first day. We know how nervous he was, but he has been amazing: trying new things, making friends, and even happily putting up with Marie’s singing all day!
Chris C- has also been an absolute pleasure to have in sessions. He is always happy, joins in, loves a puzzle, and enjoys a good cuppa.
Last but not least is our lovely Paige- Paige attends 18/20 Cabin and has been at Catherine Care since 2013. She has made so much progress since transitioning to the cabin (a big thank you to her staff team!). She is more social, spends more time with her peers, laughs more, and is just genuinely much happier.
A huge well done to you all—you should be very proud! 👏

A huge well done to Leanne Priest on receiving this month’s Employee of the Month!
Leanne has been at Catherine Care for a very long time and is extremely knowledgeable—she can answer almost anything! Her colleagues said: “I think Leanne is kind, caring, and funny. She interacts well with clients and mixes well with staff. She works hard to come up with ideas for clients. I want Leanne to know how appreciated and valued she is.” 🥇💐

This week in Life Skills Kitchen, we focused on the sense of smell. Participants explored a variety of herbs, spices, and extracts, using their senses to guess what each one was. Exploring the senses is an important part of learning, as it helps to build awareness, supports memory, and encourages engagement with the world around us. It was a fun and engaging activity, and everyone seemed to really enjoy the session!
