A wonderful couple of hours spent up at Springslade Lodge - Cannock Chase this evening with Clare from Raw Movement leading and educating us through a stretch class and I rounded off the evening with a 30minute guided relaxation 😴💤🌻😊
Next time hopefully we'll get to do it under the trees 🌲😊

There is 48 hours left until the first workshop which will kick off the Summer Bootcamp I'm running for those who are qualified teachers or teaching assistants looking for a new role.

Alongside the six core workshops I’ve mentioned previously, Jodie Allcutt from Sunflower Minds Hypnotherapy will be joining us for an additional bespoke session.

Jodie is a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and will guide those attending through simple, solution focused strategies based on neuroscience to help you step out of your comfort zone with courage, build self-assured confidence, and strengthen the emotional resilience needed to keep going. This session will help you take the next step feeling calmer, braver, and more self-assured.

What’s been good about your week?

When I first started using the question 'What's been good?' To me it felt abit strange, unfamiliar. I was so used to hearing “How’s your week been?" or "How are you?" it just didn't sound right....but once I experienced the difference in the response it elicits from people, I'll never go back.

Because unless it’s been a standout week most people’s brains immediately go to the negatives and if your stress bucket is already full, that question can easily spiral into a mental rundown of everything that’s felt hard, messy, or draining.

✨ What’s been good?✨

It’s not about pretending everything’s fine, it’s just a small way to refocus your attention and create space for something more balanced.

This week for me my top 3 'what's been good'
🌻I've had pain in my feet for almost a year and I have been through so many different professionals to address it I 'm finally getting somewhere with it thanks to Cannock Sports Injury Clinic 🙌 Roll on the next appointment.
🌻 I had a couple of gorgeous early morning walks over Cannock Chase with my Hercules, our Frenchie 🐶
🌻I've made some lovely connections for Sunflower Minds and have some collaborative webinars in the pipeline 🤩

🌙 “I hadn’t slept through the night in years…”

She was exhausted. Not just physically, but emotionally.

Every night she’d lie in bed doom-scrolling, tangled in thoughts, replaying past conversations, worrying about tomorrow.
She held onto resentment she didn’t want but couldn’t seem to let go.
The smallest things wound her up and frustrated her.

And then something changed.

Over 12 weeks, with space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with herself through Solution Focused Hypnotherapy.......she started sleeping through the night.

Ever sat next to someone you love and still felt miles away?

You’ve carved out the time.
You’ve put your phone down.
You want to be present.

But your mind’s somewhere else....multiple tabs open all at once, planning, worrying, overthinking.

Even when nothing’s wrong, you still don’t feel calm.
You still don’t feel there. It's making you snappy and irritable.

I see this all the time with the women I support. They’re doing all the right things:
📵 Creating space
🧘 Practising gratitude
💛 Putting in the effort

But when your brain is wired to stay on high alert, it’s hard to settle, even in the safest moments.

And that’s not something you can fix by just trying harder.

✨ What really helps?
Helping your nervous system feel safe enough to relax.
Not just physically, but mentally too.

That’s exactly what I do with clients inside the 90-Day Reset.

I've been fairly quiet on Facebook and Instagram lately. This year is like a year of two halves for me.....before and after holiday. Last week we came back from what can only be described as an epic holiday, 2 weeks in Florida with all our boys. We book our holidays way in advance, so this was 2 years in the making and was part of our celebrations for my husband turning 40 this year. It was so worth the wait though, it really was awesome 😎
I've also been busy working up to something over the last 6 months and 1st and 2nd July will see me taking to the stage in London doing a presentation on solution focused hypnotherapy and the work I do with my clients 🤩🌻 Exciting times 🤩

Would you believe me if I told you the person in this photo was dealing with crippling anxiety?

The thing is, I didn’t even know I was in survival mode for all those years until it debilitated me. That constant state of heightened anxiety just felt normal. So normal, in fact, that when there wasn’t anything to feel anxious about, I’d go looking for something. That was just how life felt. I thought I'd moved forward in my life but I'd actually developed some really bad coping mechanisms that had actually made my mental health worse.

For the longest time, I thought that was just who I was. But it wasn’t.

That’s why I created a simple self check-in — to help others who might be feeling the same way but don’t quite have the words for it yet.

If you’ve ever said things like:
“I’m just a worrier,”
“It takes me ages to fall asleep,”
“My mind never switches off,”
“I always overthink everything,”
“I just don’t deal well with stress,”
“I thought everyone felt like this,”
“I’m just not good at relaxing,”

How lucky am I? Very! Being a blended family will never come without its challenges but our boys make it so easy, and enjoyable, being a family of 6.
