It was great to spend time a few weeks ago with the team at Safe Haven Training Ltd, a brilliant local business based in Cannock that is scaling up and delivering training across the country 📍📈 Set up fourteen years ago by ex-paramedic Ian, they’ve gone from strength to strength 👍🏻

𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 (AKA 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐢𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠) do a range of first aid and health and safety training to individuals and organisations, from small local firms to major national companies like Perelli Tyres who were their first big client ⛑️⚠️

It was brilliant to hear about their plans to expand, including taking on a bigger office on Mill Street to offer more training as they work towards becoming a leading name in first aid training nationwide 🙌🏻

Seeing a Cannock-based business aiming to be the best and expand what they do is exactly the kind of growth we want to see, bringing 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 and 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 into our community. It was also great to hear about their plans to support local people and organisations with training and support.

And I even got a hands-on refresher in CPR while I was there! ❤️‍🩹 My hand positioning needs some work 😅 Thanks to the team for the warm welcome and best of luck as you take the next steps 👏🏻

⛑️ First Aid Trained ⛑️

I enjoyed something a bit different yesterday; updating my Paediatric First Aid Qualification. It was great fun being the learner instead of the tutor for the day!

I take the safety and wellbeing of the children I work with very seriously. Alongside my First Aid qualification, I also hold:

✔️ Level 2 First Aid for Mental Health
✔️ Level 2 Safeguarding and Child Protection training, updated annually.
✔️ Enhanced DBS which is registered on the annual update service.
✔️ I am fully insured.

Thanks for hosting our training Little Olive's and to Safe Haven Training Ltd for providing a really informative, enjoyable course. Lovely to catch up with my fabulous friend over at Seeds of Possibility too! ☕️

Last month, our employee Focus Group put forward the suggestion of installing a defibrillator for additional peace of mind.

We have therefore purchased and installed a defibrillator on-site, with the help of partial funding from London Hearts

We hope this piece of equipment is never required but we are grateful to be able to have it nearby in case of an emergency.
