Havenly Care Limited is a day care provider based in Cannock. Our service is designed to promote independence & wellbeing

We offer high-quality, person-centred support for older adults, individuals with dementia, and adults with learning disabilities. Havenly Care Adult Day Centre is an independent family-run, innovative adult day care centre and we pride ourselves on the ability to offer the elderly, people with dementia or alzheimers daycare services in a close knit, comfortable environment with a home from home fe

The centre was set up in response to a social need to provide ad-hoc, short or long term day care for the elderly, those with Learning Disabilities, Dementia, Parkinson's, their Carers and any other adult that feels they need extra support or social interaction. This stemmed from our own experience in the difficulties faced when caring for a loved one. We now have over 30 years’ experience in working with older people. We believe the service we offer is more social therapy than day care; innovative and proven to work, with excellent value for money.

We are excited to announce that Havenly Care Adult Day Centre will be opening a new site in the South of Birmingham.

Our new centre will be based at:

We are hoping to open in mid-June 2026, and this is a very special milestone in our journey.

At Havenly Care, we are passionate about providing a warm, safe, and welcoming day centre where people feel valued, supported, and part of a community. We are looking forward to bringing our experience and commitment to South Birmingham, supporting older adults, people living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, and adults with learning disabilities.

We will be sharing more updates soon, including opening days, transport information, and details of our launch event.

A lovely morning at The The Heathers Nursing Home for their Cake & Coffee Morning - Meet the Team event.

Thank you to Laura Hughes and the team at The Heathers Nursing Home for the warm welcome. It was lovely for our manager, Katie Martin, to attend, meet local professionals, share more about Havenly Care Adult Day Centre, and build connections with others who care about supporting people in our community.

It is so important to partner with local businesses and care providers, so we can work together, share information, and help families find the right support when they need it.

𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹… 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁.

We see it far too often in the care sector.

Families navigating incredibly emotional situations while also trying to untangle finances, decisions and responsibilities that were never clearly set out.

It is not something people like to think about, but having a Will in place is one of the most important things you can do for your loved ones.

Through our work at Havenly Care Adult Day Centre, supporting individuals living with dementia and other complex needs, we see first hand how quickly circumstances can change. A diagnosis or sudden decline can leave families making difficult decisions under pressure.

Where there is no Will, everything becomes harder. Not just emotionally, but practically. It can lead to delays, uncertainty and added stress at a time when families are already dealing with enough.

A Will is not just about assets. It is about
• Making sure your wishes are respected
• Protecting your family from unnecessary stress
• Giving clarity at a time when emotions are already high
• Avoiding delays and complications when decisions need to be made

Many people assume this is something to think about later in life, but the reality is that none of us know what is ahead. We recently came across the Alzheimer's Society Will to Remember service, which allows individuals to write or update 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿 (𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄).
For anything more complex, it is always best to seek independent legal advice.

It is available across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and is a really accessible way for those who may have been putting it off to take that step.
In care, planning ahead is not about being negative. It is about being prepared.

It gives families clarity, reassurance and one less thing to worry about when it matters most.

It was a pleasure meeting with Lisa Sharratt from the Alzheimer's Society yesterday.

Lisa is genuinely a wealth of knowledge - one of those conversations where you walk away thinking more people need to hear this.

We covered some really important points that often get overlooked:
• The importance of keeping the Herbert Protocol updated — something so simple, yet critical in protecting vulnerable individuals
• Attendance Allowance — not just applying for it, but actually using it to fund essential care and improve quality of life
• The support available locally to help families complete forms and navigate what can feel like an overwhelming system
• Guidance around Lasting Power of Attorney and planning ahead early
• The wide range of practical, easy-to-understand publications available through Alzheimer’s Society

What stood out most is that support is there, but awareness is still the biggest gap. The more we talk about it, the more we share it, the more families we can help at the right time.

Connecting at Stowe Mount Care Home

I had the privilege of meeting with Leah Taylor and her dedicated team at Stowe Mount Care Home in Lichfield. Engaging with fellow professionals in the care sector is invaluable for sharing insights and strengthening our local networks.

During my visit, I was thoroughly impressed by the high standard of care provided to residents. The positive and nurturing environment created by the staff reflects their commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in their care.

I look forward to maintaining our connection and collaborating to support one another in our ongoing efforts to improve care standards in our communities.

✨ The Little Things That Bring Big Joy ✨

If you ever walk past Havenly Adult Day Care Centre and notice a wonderful smell in the air, it’s very likely coming from our amazing Joy.

Today she prepared freshly homemade soda bread alongside a delicious lamb casserole, filling the centre with warmth, comfort and a real sense of home.

Joy brings so much more than her cooking. Her kindness, care and passion shine through in everything she does, creating moments that truly matter for our clients every day.

Last week our service users enjoyed a wonderful creative session led by Carmen from Cheerz Workshop.

Everyone had great fun getting hands-on with colourful clay, creating beautiful flowers and shapes while enjoying a relaxed and social activity together. These sessions are not only enjoyable but also help support dexterity, creativity and confidence.

A big thank you to Carmen for such a lovely and engaging workshop. Our service users thoroughly enjoyed it! 🌸
