We hope we make it look easy and help you enjoy your Eye Exam and style consultation experience here at Chase Eyecare.
If you are a regular with us, you will have already met the team, but if not, here is a quick introduction.

Mr Puri is our Consultant Optometrist with over 25 years of experience. He has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of eye health, as well as being kind, caring, and extremely compassionate and takes the time to ensure all patients are valued.

Louise is our practice manager and also our senior style consultant. Louise ensures that all our patients are well looked after, from exemplary service to ensuring you have the best vision without compromising on style, comfort and individuality.

Mandy is our lovely fashion consultant, always ready to greet you with a friendly smile. Mandy has an excellent knowledge of current frame styles and up-and-coming trends to suit everyone's personality, and of course, budget!

Not forgetting Adeel, our fantastic lab manager, who not only completes orders in our onsite lab but also conducts repairs and coordinates our 1-hour express service.

Macular degeneration:
Historic Breakthrough in Vision Science!

For the first time, scientists have restored central vision in people with advanced macular degeneration using a wireless microchip implant smaller than a grain of rice.
In a major European clinical trial, 81% of patients regained some central sight with the PRIMA system, developed by teams from Stanford University and the University of Pittsburgh.

The implant works with smart glasses that send visual data as light signals to the retina helping the brain “see” again. One patient even read text after years of blindness!

Though it currently restores only black-and-white vision, next versions aim for grayscale and detailed sight ushering in a new era of bionic vision.

Why Us?

As Cannock's longest established independent optical practice, Chase Eyecare opticians offer a comprehensive range of quality products and services. With practices in Cannock and Hednesford, we aim to provide you with the highest standards of professional eye care and friendly, personal service, together with excellent value for money for all the family or all ages under one roof. We are the very first practice and only practice in the area offering Enhanced Examinations including Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) which is a detailed scan that allows us to see a 3D image of your eye. This means we can see beneath the surface and diagnose/advise about a number of conditions in their earliest stages. For a number of years we have been able to photograph the back of your eye making the record of your ocular health much more accurate. With the new 3D scan we still have the photograph but now we also have a three dimensional cross section of the back of your eye. The scan is non-invasive, painless, simple and quick. The information it gives us is invaluable picking up the most subtle changes to your retina, allowing early diagnosis of a number of serious conditions, including glaucoma and macular degeneration. There is a small charge for this, which has previously only been available at hospital. And there are free payment plans available too. When you visit our practice for a regular eye test, your eyes will be examined by a fully qualified consultant. We will discuss your individual needs, answer your questions and advise you on keeping your vision in the best possible condition. Should you need glasses or contact lenses, you'll be given a full explanation of the different options available. To book a consultation with one of our clinicians or if you require an emergency appointment please call 01543 570 313 (Cannock Practice) or 01543 422 198 (Hednesford practice). Free parking is available, and blue badge holders can be dropped only a couple of steps from us. We are wheelchair friendly practice.
