Mindful Pregnancy Yoga sessions are delivered in a cozy welcoming space at a slow pace suitable for your body, providing you with an opportunity to adapt to those physiological changes you are going through, as well as creating a safe environment where you can connect with self and your baby.

The practice of yoga, through an amazing multitude of benefits, can be our path towards accomplishing a state of self love.
Whilst creating an overall sense of well-being yoga practice has the potential to lower the stress hormones in our bodies crating a space for self awareness and acceptance promoting acts of self care and improved self esteem…
…in effect self love that enables us to receive and radiate love in the hope for happiness and freedom for ourselves and those around us.

Self love is an amazing foundation to work towards whilst you are pregnant in preparation for empowered mindful motherhood.

The highlight of my Tuesday morning - MPY session prep ⭐️
“I feel grounded and centred” a simple but powerful affirmation for this week’s practice.
The route to motherhood brings such a multitude of feelings and emotions. Amongst the obvious excitement, elation and curiosity mums to be may also sometimes experience feelings of fear, self doubt and vulnerability.
Yoga practice offers us an opportunity to ground and root down in effect creating a firm foundation upon which we can grow a sense of reassurance, confidence and self trust.
All qualities that support us at time of doubt and transition facilitating sense of inner strength and balance within body and mind!

Setting your roots and developing a breath that you can rely upon at time of transition served as the focus of our pregnancy and birth preparation yoga practice this week with the affirmation “each breath brings my baby closer to me”.

Whilst deep conscious breathing enriches the oxygenation of our blood and as such during pregnancy that of our baby, it also has the potential to become the most powerful and restorative act of self care and undeniably a coping strategy in labour and beyond …

Our pranayama was enhanced by the use of aromatherapy, in particular the calming and uplifting properties of a lavender, frankincense and sweet orange essential oil blend scent which surrounded us whilst practicing golden thread & ujjayi breath, bringing our practice to a close with Nadi Shodhana ( alternate nostril breathing ) just before the relaxation of shavasana.

This recording was inspired by one of the mums to be, who put her trust in me and attended my last Summer Pregnancy & Birth Preparation Yoga Practice Course. At the end of the session she kindly asked if an audio of the meditation could be sent to her and an idea was born … ⭐️ this file will now complete a part of the resource pack offered to all ladies attending my courses.
