I took some seeds to friends in Spain and they kindly showed me the finished product. These peas will sprout and be amazing and then the plant will wilt and die.. but its seeds will live on. When we lose someone we carry them in our hearts and minds so that they are never truly gone.. 🩷

Jokes aside, asking for help is sometimes difficult. We see it as a sign of weakness when in fact it’s the opposite… reaching out shows a strength we don’t often feel, but it’s there. And however hard it is to say ‘I need help’, there are always hands to hold you up and good things happen when you trust in them. 🩷

This poem, by Mary Frye, is probably my favourite funeral tribute. It is hopeful, it touches on remembrance but to me it symbolises what death really is.. and that’s a return to another state 🦋… we are, after all, created from materials so ancient that our bodies ‘live on’ as much as our souls. ✨🌔
