We are currently experiencing technical issues with our software system. This is a major incident within our region which is affecting multiple surgeries. We are currently unable to access anything with the surgery including econsults. You are able to submit them but we are unable to triage and reply. The IT team are working on this at present but are unable to give us a time this will be fixed. Our phone lines are still working but we are unable to access our systems, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

⚠️ Important Patient Notice: Local Meningitis (Meningococcal Disease) Outbreak

We are aware of the recent reports of a local outbreak of meningitis, and we understand that many of our patients may be feeling concerned. Please read the information below carefully.

🔍 Symptoms of meningitis or septicaemia can include:

A rash that does not fade when pressed with a glass
Sudden onset of high fever
Severe or worsening headache
Stiff neck
Vomiting and diarrhoea
Joint or muscle pain
Sensitivity to bright lights
Very cold hands and feet
Seizures
Confusion or delirium
Extreme sleepiness or difficulty waking

🏥 If you are experiencing ANY of these symptoms:
👉 Do NOT come to the surgery or Urgent Treatment Centre.
Please attend your nearest A&E department immediately—preferably QEQM or William Harvey, who are already managing cases.

Please do not contact the surgery or A&E.

NHS are changing the way they invite you for your cervical screening. You will now receive an invitation via your NHS App and your results will be sent directly to your NHS App too.
Those not registered with the NHS App will still receive invites and results via the post as normal, but
If would like to sign up to the NHS App - ask a member of the team how to gain access

Just to remind all patients that we are closed today from 1pm for staff training. Due to this closure, eConsults will only be available until 11am to allow a same day response for all those submitted. The surgery will re-open at 8am tomorrow and eConsults will be available from 7am as usual. If you need to speak to a doctor urgently after 1pm, please telephone the out of hours service on 111. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
