🐾 World Animal Reiki Day – 5th February 🐾

Today we join practitioners and animal lovers around the world in honouring World Animal Reiki Day. This special day is dedicated to raising awareness of the gentle, supportive nature of Reiki for animals and recognising animals as powerful spiritual teachers in our lives.

From beloved pets to animals in shelters, sanctuaries and the wild, Reiki offers a calm, respectful way to support wellbeing, connection and trust. On this day, we celebrate all those who share Reiki with animals - and the wisdom, presence and unconditional love animals share with us in return.

With gratitude for all animals and those who care for them 💚

We’re pleased to bring you tip #5 from our series of sustainable health care posts:

Our breathing is connected to our nervous system, so when we get worried or nervous we tend to hold our breath.

Breathe through your nose, with the focus on a long out breath. The nose has filters. It warms and humidifies air, preventing dryness in the airways and lungs. Allow the air to come in naturally like sniffing a rose, allowing your ribs to move upwards in your back. We breathe with the whole of our backs - often we are so front orientated with completing tasks in front of us that we forget about our backs and the importance of allowing our ribs to move.

Learning breathing techniques can have a positive impact on your health. They can help to reduce your blood pressure, improve relaxation, prevent insomnia and improve your attention. And the good news is that they can be done anywhere at any time. Give tip number 5 a try.

With years of experience in supporting individuals who face stress and anxiety, she has employed a variety of techniques, including relaxation exercises, breathing strategies, and guided meditation, to help them find balance and peace in their lives.

In this session we will together perform a relaxation and guided meditation to help with letting go of things that stop us from relaxing and finding peace.
