Being independent, you have the choice from a fantastic selection of frames, including many designer brands, we use the world’s leading supplier for your prescription lenses and we can fit you with most contact lens brands on the market. To ensure the best care for you, we also offer a number of other specialist services:

• Colorimetry for Visual Stress
• Dry Eye Clinic (including Blepharitis treatment)
• Domiciliary Home Visits (for those patients who are unable to come to us)

Meet Sue, our amazing Optical Advisor here at Pybus Opticians.

Sue is a very active person and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves travelling to explore new countries and spending time outdoors walking her dogs in the woods. She is a wonderful Nanny to her 3 lovely grandchildren.

Sue has been working with us for over 8 years now and has over 30 years experience in optics. Sue really loves our new Wolf Eyewear ladies range – their colourful frames offer eyewear that will enhance your features, complement your wardrobe, and boost your confidence.

Did you know 4.6 million people have been diagnosed with diabetes in the UK? 💡

And of those 4.6 million, approximately one-third of people with diabetes will experience some form of diabetic eye disease.

Diabetes significantly affects eyesight, leading to conditions like:

• Diabetic Retinopathy: High blood sugar damages blood vessels in the retina.
• Blurry Vision: Fluctuations in blood sugar can temporarily swell the eye's lens.
• Increased risk of Glaucoma and early onset Cataracts.

Diabetic eye disease is a leading cause of vision loss, but early detection and treatment can prevent blindness in most cases.

If you have diabetes, make sure you are prioritising your routine eye exams and also attending your Diabetic eye screening appointments. 💙
