👶✨ Cranial Osteopathy for Babies – Gentle Support from the Very Start ✨👶

Did you know that even the gentlest births can place pressure on a baby’s head and body?

Cranial osteopathy is a gentle, hands-on approach used to assess and support a baby’s development. Using light touch, osteopaths feel for subtle tensions or imbalances in the body and help release them, supporting relaxation, comfort, and overall well-being.

Parents often bring their little ones for cranial osteopathy to support issues such as:

💤 Difficulty settling or sleeping
🍼 Feeding or latching concerns
💢 Digestive discomfort (wind, colic, reflux)
🌀 A sense that the baby is unsettled or uncomfortable

Every baby is different, and so is every treatment. This approach is soft, noninvasive, and tailored to your little one’s needs.

👶👶👶 A very special visit to the clinic — I had the joy of treating triplets with cranial osteopathy!

Each little one with their own unique needs, but all are responding beautifully to gentle, supportive care. 💆‍♀️💫

Cranial osteopathy can help babies with:

✨ Feeding or latching difficulties
✨ Colic or digestive discomfort
✨ Sleep disturbances
✨ Tension from birth (especially in multiple births or C-sections)

It’s always an honour to support families on their journey — and working with multiples like these gorgeous triplets is a reminder of how every baby deserves individual attention and care. 💛

Our newest team member 😂
1️⃣2️⃣ weeks old, enjoying cranial osteopathy.

Did you know there are 22 bones in the infant skull which are designed to move over each other to allow for squeezing down the birth canal. After birth, yawning, sucking and crying helps to move the cranial bones back into position and the bones will fuse (become fixed) later over time. Sometimes, however, yawning, sucking and crying may not completely put everything back in place, if perhaps the birth was very traumatic, forceps or ventouse were used. If any of the bones, nerves and muscles are out of line, tense or trapped this could affect the way a baby can use his mouth, jaw and tongue to latch and suckle correctly. He/she may feel uncomfortable and tense.

Infant Osteopathic treatment will help to free any tension and leave your little one feeling more relaxed.
