Wow, what a day! This was the busiest our Christmas Market has been for many years so thank you everyone for coming along to support us, together we raised £3,500 to support the Centre's services and therapies. We are incredibly grateful for the tremendous effort our team of volunteers put into making this event including our shop volunteers and our events volunteers who put on a fantastic refreshment spread. Thanks also to our sponsor for this event eFOLDi for your support.

Thanks to the UK Paper Band Sittingbourne and Mostly Ukeleles for providing us with wonderful festive tunes.

We would also like to recognise the contribution of the Emmins family who have been fundraising for two decades, they ran their last tombola for us here today. We are incredibly grateful for their kindness, support and generosity over the many years they have supported our charity.

We are so grateful to David Green, captain of Whitstable and Seasalter Golf Club who chose us as his Captain's Charity over the last year. They put on a range of events and competitions and have managed to raise an incredible £5,697.70 to support our services for those living with neurological conditions in Kent with more yet to be counted! They have also raised awareness of the therapies and expert support that we offer at our Centre. Thank you!

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, rhythmic massage technique designed to stimulate your lymphatic system - the body’s natural detox pathway. It helps reduce swelling, boost circulation, and support your immune system, leaving you feeling lighter, more balanced, and deeply relaxed.

For individuals with MS, MLD may help manage swelling, and that “heavy” feeling in the limbs, muscle tension, and fatigue while promoting relaxation and a greater sense of balance. It’s a safe, non-invasive therapy that complements your body’s natural healing processes.

You can book a MLD session with Melanie on Thursdays from 10am to 5.30pm. For more information please call 01227 470876.

❄🎄 In just one week, our Christmas fundraising campaign “Give the Gift of Strength” will begin and this year, your support can go twice as far. 🎄❄

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our early pledgers, we already have £2,550 in match funding secured. That means that from 19 November to 9 December, every donation you make will be doubled up to that total, helping us continue our vital Physiotherapy and Aquatic Physiotherapy programmes through 2026.

Every day, our specialist physiotherapy team works with people living with neurological conditions, helping them move more freely, manage pain and rebuild confidence. The care and professionalism of our team are what make these therapies so effective and what makes your support so impactful.

What your support helps to achieve:
• Keeps people moving safely and independently
• Reduces pain and stiffness through expert-led sessions
• Builds confidence, strength, and community connections

More details coming soon!

Introducing Joanne who is new to our Board this year:

"I joined the Board of Trustees earlier this year having been an associate member of the Centre for almost 5 years.

I run a relaxed monthly neurological support group at the Centre every second Friday of the month which provides support to sufferers and their carers.

My husband has primary progressive MS and frontal lobe Epilepsy and is now unfortunately in specialist nursing care.

My background is in training, development and business leadership so I’m hoping to share that wealth of experience with the Board and support the Centre in a meaningful and progressive way."
