We are proud to support Kent Neuro Therapy Centre - an independent charity based in Canterbury, empowering people living with MS, Parkinson's and stroke to rebuild confidence, independence and quality of life.

Through specialist, personalised therapy delivered with expertise and compassion, the Centre supports individuals to achieve meaningful goals and live fuller lives. By combining professional care with human connection, they create a welcoming community where people feel supported, valued and empowered.

There are many ways you can join Team Kent Neuro and make a meaningful difference.

If you would like to raise vital funds for Kent Neuro Therapy Centre you can sign up for one of their FREE charity places through their website (https://kentneuro.org/event/canterbury-bike-ride). They ask for a minimum fundraising target of £75 for the 24 mile route and £150 for the medium or long route. In return, you will receive a Kent Neuro top, support on the day and dedicated fundraising guidance from their team.

For more information, please contact the team at fundraising@kentneuro.org. They will support you throughout your fundraising journey and look forward to welcoming you to Team Kent Neuro.

If you would prefer not to commit to a set fundraising target, you can choose to make a donation at registration and/or set up your own personal fundraising page (https://kentmstc.enthuse.com/cf/canterbury-bike-ride).

Every pound you raise helps them to provide therapies, maintain their fully equipped Centre and ensure people across Kent can continue to access the integrated support they need to stay active, independent and connected. They can only continue this work because of you.

Today marks World Parkinson's Day.

Marked each year on 11 April, the day honours Dr James Parkinson, who first described the condition in 1817. The tulip has since become the symbol of Parkinson’s – representing hope, resilience and a global community united in raising awareness.

Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition that affects movement, balance and coordination, with symptoms that vary from person to person. Understanding more can make a real difference.

At Kent Neuro Therapy Centre, we provide specialist therapies, expert support and a welcoming community to help people live well, stay independent and focus on what matters most to them.

Today, we stand with everyone living with Parkinson’s – and those who support them.

This Sunday, supporter of our Centre, Amanda will be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon. She took on the challenge last year but due to injury was forced to Nordic walk rather than run. She's looking forward to running this year and hoping to complete the race within 3 hours.

She says "The Centre is a lifeline for so many people living with MS and other life long neurological conditions, offering therapies and support. Please donate to this local charity and support my challenge."

To support Amanda, you can donate here: https://kentmstc.enthuse.com/pf/amanda-summers-0ad3f

We're blown away by the incredible efforts of the Active Life Triathlon Club who took on a 24-hour continuous swim relay challenge starting at 7am on Sunday morning and finishing at 7am on Monday morning! 44 swimmers aged from 18 - 70 in total swam 229.85km - many of them taking on huge personal challenges within the relay. They have now raised over £5,000 to help fund our hydrotherapy pool which is a phenomenal sum! 🎉

Some important thank you's:
- To Claire Boucher for organising the event so brilliantly
- Active Life at Herons Leisure Centre for hosting the event, donating lifeguards, managers and pool time
- The staff at Heron’s Leisure Centre, in particular Manager Karen Monticelli and lifeguards Amberlie and Kelly, without whom this challenge would not have been possible
- The wonderful team of swimmers who contributed their kilometres, time and fundraising to reach the target

If you'd like to show your support for their achievement, you can donate here: https://kentmstc.enthuse.com/cf/24-hour-swim-relay

Rejects Brotherhood 182 did a drive-by to Kent Neuro Therapy Centre on Saturday to present us with £1,500 they raised through their events in the last year. They enjoyed a cup of tea and a tour of the Centre.

Thank you so much to all who donated. This money could go towards physiotherapy sessions and exercise sessions to help those with MS, Parkinson’s and recovering from stroke improve their quality of life.
