🎉🎉 Wishing all my lovely clients, friends and family a Happy New Year! 🎉🎉

What a wild year! I just wanted to thank all of you for being so supportive this year which has been so testing for everyone. Huge apologies for taking longer than usual to respond to messages or missing messages, I’m really sorry it’s been a year of spinning lots of plates! It’s been so lovely to be back treating your fab ponies, I’m so very grateful for your support!

Though COVID has been the real pits! I’ve been lucky enough to be part of a fab team back in the NHS - they really are the best despite COVID part 2 rearing it’s ugly head!

We’ve spent lots of time with our lovely dogs! 🐶💕Plus a new 4 legged friend- Topper arrived and has helped keep me sane-ish! 🙈🦄💕

So with Topper we will be kicking on into 2021 despite it all being a bit uncertain (see photo 2! 🙈) and hope you all have a much brighter, happy new year! 🍾🥂🎉🥂🍾

🚨 🦠 Update on Treating Equines 🦠🚨

To all my lovely clients, thank you for all being so patient and understanding due to the current climate and being left in limbo with your appointments! I hope you’ve all been and are still keeping safe and well!

I’ve temporarily returned to my roots as a human physiotherapist to help the NHS in the current COVID-19 crisis (as most of you already know). And going forward I will be continuing to help for the foreseeable future...

I am really missing treating your lovely horses and ponies (riders too!) and this is by no means a return to normal working. However, I will now begin to treat urgent equine cases who require help or are at risk of deteriorating.

This is following guidelines from ACPAT, CSP and the RCVS. I will be carefully prioritising my diary so please get in contact to discuss if you feel your horse/pony is in need of help. I am trying to get in contact with everyone I’ve had to postpone so far - thank you for being so patient and please bear with me!

Please note that I will be strictly following the social distancing and infection control measures below:

🏇 Staying at least 2m away from each other at all times.
🏇 Disinfecting of equipment/footwear, strict hand washing/sanitising and changing clothing.
🏇 Wearing appropriate PPE such as overalls and face mask.

I will risk assess for each case. If you or any of your family have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 it is absolutely vital that you let me know before hand. Rearranging appointments is not a problem.

Please don’t take offence that I’m keeping my distance, don’t have a drink and will be wearing various bits of PPE... I want to ensure I do everything possible to maintain your safety.

I will certainly be a lot trimmer at the end of this without all the cuppas and various treats I’m supplied with from you all! 🍰 ☕️

Thank you all for being so understanding up until now, I’m really grateful to you all. I am here to help so please contact me if you’re concerned about your horse, pony or yourself.

Hello All!

I hope you are all coping well with the current and very odd situation we all find ourselves in.

As before, all face to face equine and human appointments remain postponed until further notice. However, video call and ‘virtual appointments’ have worked well this week for horses and people alike. So if you have any concerns at all please get in touch. I’m more than happy to help assist, if temporarily from afar.

I’ve dug out my uniform and stethoscope and will be returning to the NHS from tomorrow to help where possible. 🩺

But please do not hesitate to get in contact if you’re worried about your horse’s or your own physiotherapy needs. I’m still here to help and will get back to you, though it may be in the evening.

Dear all my lovely clients,

I’m sorry to have to write this but as of today I have decided to postpone all equine appointments.

Due to the current and rapidly escalating COVID-19 pandemic and listening to the current advice from the Government and British Veterinary Association I have decided to stop face to face appointments. I feel it’s only right to avoid non-essential contact and help our wonderful and struggling health service as best as we can.

I hope you all understand and keep yourselves safe during this tricky time. I hope to see you all and your lovely horses and ponies again soon.

I will be in contact with all clients ASAP and will keep you all updated via this page.

Though I cancelled human appointments last week... For both human and equine physiotherapy needs I will try my best to advise via phone or video, so please do still get in touch if you need any help!

Please listen to the advice... socially distance properly and wash your hands! 🧼👐

The importance of checking qualifications of your physiotherapist!

Quality education does not come cheap!

All ACPAT Category A members spend a minimum of 5 years studying:

📖 3 year BSc in Physiotherapy (at a cost of £9k per year)
📖 2 year PGDip / 3 years MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy (at a cost of £10k)

An education like this cannot compare to this course being advertised!

If in doubt about who you have treating your animals: ask for their qualifications/credentials. Any ACPAT Cat A member will be happy to inform you of theirs.
