“And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.” - John Muir

I’ve just spent a lovely afternoon in the woods with my brother filming some incredible footage for the videos I’m making for the Mediumship Matters Online School.

This woodland in particular, gives me such a strong sense of grounding. It’s the place I go when life feels too overwhelming, everything about it calms my soul. I feel connected and completely at home here.

Where is your calm place in nature?

A lovely review from my Nature for Wellbeing group that I ran at a local charity.

I loved creating these classes and I am so happy and grateful that I am now able to make them for the Mediumship Matters Online Spiritual School.

Who knew that Virtual eco therapy would be a thing that I can offer? Every lesson I teach in the school comes with activities and an invitation to go outside and engage with the natural world around you. Writing them is bringing me so much joy and learning.

Link in comments if you would like to learn more.

There are also some incredible psychic mediums teaching in the school, there is meditation, astrology, tarot and so much more. If you are like me and LOVE to learn new things click the link and have a nose around. I think there is a free course you can do too!

A lovely review from one of my eco therapy groups.

Whenever I’m writing plans for groups and lessons I always do my best to combine nature and creativity as much as possible, because both these elements are so powerful for supporting health and wellbeing.

If you would like to learn more about how nature and creativity can support us to feel better, my book, Naturally Creative is available to buy on Amazon. It’s full of nature based, creative activities that will keep you busy all year! Link in bio.

Hello everyone, how are you today? I’m trying hard to start creating more resources and useful content for you to use at home to support you to connect with nature, and I’ve just written a blog post all about phenology wheels, including printable wheels for you to use at home. If you were in my Nature for Wellbeing group last year, you might enjoy this! X

Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you are well and that you are enjoying the last few weeks of winter, or summer if you are on the other side of the world to me. 🔊Sound ON! 🔊

Did you know that listening to bird song can help you to feel happier and less stressed and anxious?

There is lots of research to support this, which includes a study by the National Trust, which found that listening to birdsong and other sounds from nature was 30% more effective at providing relaxation in humans than relaxation apps.

Combined with the huge added benefits of being outside, the natural environment is truly medicine for the soul.

I spent a few minutes soaking in the birdsong in my garden today and I thought I’d share it with you. Enjoy.

Review from my Nature for Wellbeing group:

“I’ve learned how to be more self-aware, and the importance of looking after myself.”

Eco therapy and nature connection are about far more than just “going outside.” They provide us with a deep connection to ourselves and the world around us, they offer us time to reflect, create and remember who we truly are.

I am currently planning a couple of Nature for Wellbeing events at for this year. I am also creating an online Wild Spirit Program for the Mediumship Matters School, which is run by . The link is in my bio for that.

I never knew that my holistic work would lead me deep into nature, but I’m so glad that it has! It really feels like home to me. 🌿

Cor, it’s cold out there today! But beautiful nonetheless.

Did you know that walking in the cold is actually really good for us?

Walking in the cold helps our brains to think more clearly. Research has shown that people’s decision making is much sharper when they have been exposed to cold as opposed to warmer weather.

It also does all of these things:

Boosts your immune system
Regulates your sleep patterns
Reduces stress
Changes your mood for the better
And revs up your metabolism

Not to mention the added benefit of exposing your forearms to the sunlight for 10 minutes which produces all of the vitamin D that you need for the whole day!

So why not put your thermals on and your big socks and warm boots and go out for a wander for half an hour!

Today I’ve been in the woods, trying to film some footage for my Wild Spirit Course that I will be sharing in the Mediumship Matters Spiritual School very soon.

The woods were cold, wet and quite dark, but there were still bits of magic and beauty to be found. I love being in the woods, regardless of the season… that’s probably why I’m an eco therapist!

Did you know that walking in nature for just 12 minutes alters 522 metabolites in our blood, molecules that affect the beating of our heart, the breath in our lungs and the neurons in our brains?

You can learn lots more about this in the brilliant book, 52 ways to walk, by , or listen to Annabel speak on the podcast.

I hope you are all having a nice Sunday afternoon. Have you been out in nature today?

Good morning everybody, I hope you are all enjoying a bit of downtime between Christmas and new year.

I’ve been writing a new blog post this morning that I am absolutely terrified to share, but I’m going to share it, because you might find it helpful!

The power of reiki! 🌈

Many people will think I am crazy for writing this post, and indeed, I may well be. But I wanted to share something that happened to me today.

My car has been misbehaving for a few weeks now, it is due a trip to the garage in the new year and I thought we would make it unscathed. However this week another light came on the dashboard (and it wasn’t a Christmas light!) I really didn’t need another trip to the garage a week before Christmas, and I googled how to fix the problem… it was not looking like something I could do. 😣

Then I remembered something that my lovely Reiki teacher Diana Cox - EFT, Access Bars & Reiki in Ramsgate said when we were on our training. “I use reiki for everything,” she said, “even when the car isn’t working.”

I have nothing to lose I thought, so I did reiki on my car this morning…. (I see why you think I’m mad, I understand!) But mad or not, I absolutely worked! The light has gone, the issue has resolved and hopefully the car will carry on working until its trip to the garage in the new year!

All this to say, thank you Diana for teaching me the magic of reiki! I absolutely love it! X
