Lifestyle Team Conference

Today our Lifestyle Team went to another Runwood home in Wickford. There they spent time learning new ways of delivering morning exercise, focusing on movement that helps build strength and muscle. This reduces the risk of falls, which is something we are always trying to prevent.

The Team also discussed all the key dates for this year and all of our upcoming Dignity themes. We have so much planned for 2026! We can't wait to share our events calendar with you soon 🥰

🍔 Food Glorious Food! 🥪

A nice trip to the Oysterfleet today for some pub grub! Thankyou to Gus and his bus! Residents enjoyed selecting dishes such as burgers, scampi, fish & chips and chilli con carne! 😋 next time bring us back a doggy bag, those dinners look delicious!

📝 Tools Down 🧹🪣

A lovely one to one moment for Tools down this morning. Jessica, one of our lifestyle co-ordinators spent time with Caroline playing a card game. The game involved answering questions like "would you rather have a cat sized dragon, or a dragon sized cat" 🤔 🤣 and "if you was prime minister for a day, what would you do first". Caroline thought they were hilarious and enjoyed chatting. These cards really helped with some rather interesting conversations starting 🥰

A nice relaxing afternoon baking some chocolate cupcakes 🧁 residents love coming together to help mix ingredients and share out the mixture into the cases. They especially like the result 🍰 and sharing with friends 🥰

We had a great time doing our morning workout today with the help of our carers and Jan. We've been focusing on getting our legs moving a lot more! Well done ladies and gentlemen 🥰

A great start to the new year with Kelly from sporting memories. We played bean bag toss and chatted with a cuppa during "Tools Down". We can't wait for next week as we will be doing movement to music 🥰💃🕺

🎄 Helping Hands 🎄

Today we have started taking down our beautiful Christmas trees in the reception area and lounges. Residents were keen to help out. They carefully took all the baubles off and wrapped up the lights. Bazza even had some fun posing with them as earrings 😂
