Best Me Therapy Cognitive Hypnotherapy & NLP Coaching Cognitive Hypnotherapy offers an approach which emphasises the unique way you experience your issue.

By focusing on this we are able to create a way of working with you that can draw from a great range of approaches and not be limited by labels or fixed protocols. It is an evidence-based therapy founded on a set of principles that we believe best support the potential for lasting change in any individual. If you are interested in finding out how we can work together, I offer a free-of-charge, Zoom or telephone consultation to potential clients. We will agree a convenient time to talk because it's important to me to really understand what you want to achieve from our work together and for you to have the chance to discuss your needs before you commit to working with me. This is usually a fairly short chat lasting around 15 to 30 minutes. The working relationship created between you and a therapist is vital to a successful outcome for you, so it is very important for you to work with a hypnotherapist who is qualified and with whom you feel comfortable. From that initial discussion, I will be able to create a treatment plan for you, based on your needs and what it is you want to achieve from our work together. So please do get in touch, the sooner you make that decision to take action, the sooner you can make a difference in your life. I will only work with clients I believe I can help. If I don't believe we can work together I will endeavour to point you in the right direction to get help elsewhere. I am proud to be part of a large network of hypnotherapists, many of whom have specialisms they have developed over years of practice and may be able to offer you more than I can. As a registered member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) I am bound by strict codes of ethics and conduct - client safety and confidentiality is paramount. My relevant qualifications are:

Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD) NCFE Accredited Level 4
Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy (Dip CH) NCH Accredited
Certified NLP Practitioner (NLP Prac)
Mental Health Awareness NCFE Accredited Level 2

Many individuals I work with one-on-one are either experiencing or on the brink of severe overwhelm but often feel unable to express this at work for fear of being judged as incapable and facing potential repercussions. In my view, this is the best-kept secret in workplaces today, amplifying the already prevalent fatigue and burnout.

I have been combining my personal experience in leading high-performing teams and driving transformational change with my experience as a one-to-one therapist and coach in the development of a workshop offering I can deliver to small groups within organisations. I intend to seek opportunities to work with organisations in 2025.

I am inviting leaders to take part in a short questionnaire that will provide me with insights into the challenges their staff face when it comes to resilience and wellbeing at work, how they are addressing those challenges, and how they would like to if they aren't already.

Waste disposal is a topic of great controversy in the World today, with plastics being one of the most prolific issues, especially in our oceans. Plastic has become an almost taboo word in our society.

But lets consider the use if the word plastic in relation to neurology.

Neuroplasticity is the brain’s capacity to continue growing and evolving in response to life experiences. Plasticity is the capacity to be shaped, molded, or altered; neuroplasticity, then, is the ability for the brain to adapt or change over time, by creating new neurons and building new networks.

Historically, scientists believed that the brain stopped growing after childhood. But current research shows that the brain is able to continue growing and changing throughout the lifespan, refining its architecture or shifting functions to different regions of the brain.

The importance of neuroplasticity can’t be overstated: It means that it is possible to change dysfunctional patterns of thinking and behaving and to develop new mindsets, new memories, new skills, and new abilities.

Wishing you a serene and peaceful St. Patrick's Day from Best Me Therapy🍀

People talk about "The luck of the Irish", but it's likely this was born out of a stereotype. Many of the original Irish settlers in the US, the UK and Australia never saw their family again.

But it is through this adversity that they not only survived but thrived and merged with an entirely new generation of Irish. Which in itself is lucky.

Back when people used to make their fortunes primarily from Gold and Silver.

Many Irish and Irish American miners struck it rich by finding a lovely chunk of gold and reaping the benefits.

Over time the more Irish people that managed to “strike gold” came out of “luck” but really it was just down to their perseverance and hard work (with a bit of Irish luck).

So it's highly possible to create your own luck, with the right approach. Coaching can help with this.

Being resilient DOES NOT mean we do not experience stress, emotional upheaval, and suffering.

No matter how resilient and strong we think we might be we can still fall through no fault of our own.

Resilience means being able to cope with difficult events. When something bad happens, you still feel anger, grief and pain. But you're able to keep going, both physically and psychologically. Watch the video here and keep an eye on number 170.

Finally, resilience isn't about putting up with something tough or coping on your own. In fact, being able to reach out to others for support is a key part of being resilient.
