The ETA Medical team are very happy to announce that we are proud new sponsors of the Canvey Island Community First Responder Team.

The Canvey CFRs are a team of volunteers who respond to life-threatening 999 calls on Canvey Island before an ambulance arrives. This means that life-saving interventions and assessments can be carried out in the precious first minutes of an emergency.

The CFR team also looks after 28 public access defibrillators across Canvey Island, which comes at a significant cost. We were stunned to learn that each defibrillator costs around £300 to maintain, as they require a battery every five years and replacement pads when they are used or expire.

The entire team at ETA Medical are in awe of the level of commitment the CFRs show to their community, and we cannot thank them enough for being there in times of need. They truly are heroes.
