Hello my name is Maria but many people know me as "Maz" - my school nickname. I am qualified to Centralia's Reflexology Mastership; currently the highest qualification & I am a member of Professional Reflexology. I have a distinction in Anatomy & Physiology level 3 & am a Reiki practitioner level 2. Reflexology techniques & theories have been noted for thousands of years. This is usually preformed on their client's feet but can also be applied to the client's hands if preferred. The basic principal follows that specific points on the feet & hands, reflect or relate to specific points on the body. By applying massage or pressure to these points it encourages relaxation & better circulation. Therefore allowing better oxygen & nutrient flow to the cells & more efficient release of toxins. Both therapies can assist with many different conditions e.g. sleeping patterns, IBS, allergies, muscle & joint pain, & fertility, to name but a few. I have experience of working with children, the elderly & people with learning difficulties. As a therapist I cannot cure a condition but can encourage your body to be more in balance & to repair itself where needed. Many clients find a treatment gives them precious time to unwind, stop & relax; with them having renewed energy afterwards. I would encourage anyone to give it a go. Reflexology is not ticklish & I don't judge the condition of your feet. Reiki is conducted fully clothed with hands placed above or lightly on specific body areas. My aim is to allow you to relax & to make you feel better in yourself. An appointment is an hour inclusive of treatment time. Hello my name is Maria. I am qualified to Centralia's Reflexology Mastership; currently the highest qualification & I am a member of Professional Reflexology. I have a distinction in Anatomy & Physiology level 3 & am a Reiki practitioner level 3 mastership.

I decided to train to become a practitioner after receiving both treatments; I didn't necessarily understand how they worked at the time but thought wow, this really has helped me. The rest, as they say is history & I am constantly amazed at the human body & it's capacity to heal itself.

Reflexology techniques & theories have been noted for thousands of years. A practitioner will apply gentle pressure with their thumb or fingers. This is usually preformed on their client's feet but can also be applied to the client's hands if preferred. The basic principal follows that specific points on the feet & hands, reflect or relate to specific points on the body. By applying massage or pressure to these points it encourages relaxation & better circulation. Therefore allowing better oxygen & nutrient flow to the cells & more efficient release of toxins. Both therapies can assist with many different conditions e.g. sleeping patterns, IBS, allergies, muscle & joint pain, & fertility, to name but a few. I am honoured to work with a diverse client base including individuals with Lupus, MND, ME, MS, Autism, plus children & the elderly. As a therapist I cannot cure a condition but can encourage your body to be more in balance & to repair itself where needed. Many clients find a treatment gives them precious time to unwind, stop & relax; with them having renewed energy afterwards. Either therapy session lasts approximately 45-60 mins but can be tailor made to suit the individual. My initial treatment cost is £40 & reduced to £30 thereafter. (Weekly treatment & children discount rates are available).

I am now charging a £5 mobile booking fee; I try to keep my appointments as affordable as possible & do not charge for my traveling time.

During reflexology you will usually be offered to sit in a comfortable, supportive, La Fuma reclining chair, or a massage couch depending on the treatment room. (Alternatively your own seats at home can be adapted to accommodate a treatment). You will remain fully clothed apart from removing your shoes & socks. Reflexology is not ticklish & I don't judge the condition of your feet.

Reiki is conducted fully clothed with hands placed above or lightly on specific body areas. Again this will be conducted on a massage couch (or a chair if a mobile treatment). My aim is to allow you to relax & to make you feel better in yourself. If you would like to know more, etc, please don't hesitate to contact me. Please note, in order to be sympathetic to unexpected situations, clients are politely asked to give 24hrs notice if they need to cancel an appointment. You will not be charged any fee if you reschedule your appointment at the same time.

Missed appointments or failure of notice (except in emergency situations) will incur a cancellation fee of £25. If you arrive late your session maybe cut short to accommodate others who’s appointments follow yours.
