A huge well done to everyone single member who managed to get to my group either yesterday or today. Especially our gorgeous .rogers.509994 who still has no power at home. Elizabeth was thrilled that she managed to get in this morning as she achieved her 3 stone award! 🤩
A massive thank you to the wonderful staff in Carbis Bay for helping me to provide Elizabeth with her first hot drink since Thursday.
Also, to my gorgeous colleagues and for supporting me in being able to run my groups on battery power as my venue still has no power! 🫶

✨️✨️✨️CARBIS BAY SLIMMING WORLD GROUP✨️✨️
Good evening, well they weren't joking when they said we would be getting a gale of wind were they!

Today, there was no electricity at the Carbis Bay Memorial Hall but a few members did manage to get in to weigh 🙌
According to Western Power, it won't be restored until Sunday! ☹️ for those of you still affected, I do hope that you're all coping!
Due to lots of our members not being able to get in today due to the trees down, roads closed and the sheer devastation from the storm, I have decided to run another couple of weigh ins tomorrow morning! 😊

So, if for any reason you couldn't get in today, all is not lost...you can come tomorrow. First lot of weighing will be at 8a.m. A couple of my gorgeous colleagues have offered to bring along their fully charged kit incase we need it! I will then be starting to weigh again at 9.30am, for those of you who find 8am a bit too early! 😊
Now, of course I'm hoping and crossing everything 🤞that the power will be back on 🙏 but either way, I'll be there ready to welcome those of you who would like to come 😘

Great to see my members sharing their meals cooked the Slimming World way on our private members only Facebook group for a bit of mid week motivation.
Looks like they're all getting back on track after Christmas 😋😊

Stacey Lee has been out and about in St Ives today with her little ones spreading the Slimming World love🫶
Stacey comes to my Wednesday evening group and has successfully lost 6 stones by following our food optimising plan. Changing the way she cooks, eats and shops. 😊

I was delighted when Stacey offered to go out and about with our gorgeous leaflets around St Ives 🥰

DEAR RE-JOINING MEMBER
It's the start of possibly the busiest week of the year and I just wanted to add something to the mix. This post is for all you members out there who are 'thinking' of rejoining this SW group this or next week.
And in 'thinking' I mean you saying to yourself "oh my goodness, I haven't been in ages, and I have put all the weight I lost back on, I have rejoined so many times now, I am a disgrace, a loser, I'm terrified that they will think I am pathetic".
These feelings are what keep us down but rest assured that in our, and EVERY single Slimming World group across the land, that you will be welcomed back with a smile and open arms like you're an old friend. And MOST importantly there is no shame, blame or humiliation (as these are dirty words in our world).
So, re-joining members everywhere, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and prove to yourself (as nobody else really matters) what you're made of and who knows, 2026 could be the year of your life!

I know the Christmas holidays aren't over yet, but this is the time of year when my phone and inbox start buzzing with messages about joining group in January… and honestly, it makes me so excited for what’s coming in 2026 🎄✨

I’ve had people stopping me when I've been out and about saying “I’m coming back in January!”, and others already planning to return this week after seeing friends and family absolutely smashing it this year 🤩
