🌸 Cervical Screening Awareness Week (16-20th June 2025) 🌸

This week is all about raising awareness of cervical screening (also known as a smear test).

💬 Did you know?

Cervical screening helps prevent cervical cancer by checking for high-risk HPV.

It's offered to women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 64.

Most results come back normal, but early detection can make all the difference.

📅 If you're due for your screening or have received an invite — don’t delay, book your appointment with our nursing team today. We understand it can feel a bit daunting, but our friendly staff are here to make you feel as comfortable as possible. 💙

📞 Call us on 02920461100 to make an appointment with the nurse.

📢 Exciting News – Electronic Prescribing Service Launching 11th June! 📢

From next Wednesday, our GP practice will be going live with the Electronic Prescribing Service (EPS)!

This means we can now send your prescriptions directly to your chosen pharmacy – no more paper slips, making things faster, safer, and more convenient for you. ✅

👉 What do you need to do?
Let your preferred pharmacy know that you’d like to nominate them as your dispensing pharmacist. Once nominated, your prescriptions will be sent to them electronically – ready for collection or delivery (if available).

You will still need to request your repeat prescriptions as normal, you can:
- download the NHS Wales App to request prescriptions
- email the prescriptions line
- write a letter to the practice
- ask your chosen pharmacy to put your request in for you

*Please note, prescription requests cannot be taken over the phone*

If you have any questions or need help choosing a pharmacy, please feel free to contact us.
