Myth #1: The 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan is just another faddy diet.
Fact: Cambridge has been around for over 35 years so certainly doesn't fall into the definition of faddy.

Myth #2: It’s just soups and shakes.
Fact: We have a wide range of products, much more than just soups and shakes, including microwaveable meals.

Myth #3: Yes but your body can't be getting what it needs
Fact: Each product contains a third of your recommended daily allowance. It's a nutritionally balanced plan.

Myth #4: It's a dangerous diet
Fact: The 1:1 Diet is a medically sound weight reduction programme. We have our own dedicated medical team at HQ.

Myth #5: It's a liquid only diet. You can't eat real food.
Fact: There are 6 different weight loss options to choose from. FIVE of them include normal homemade meals using a wide range of everyday foods you would buy from your local shop.

Myth #6: You'll just put all the weight back on when you stop dieting .
Fact: If you follow the plan properly and do the stepping up process you won't put the weight back on unless you go back to your old eating habits then, of course, you will go back to your old weight.

Myth #6: Its really expensive
Fact: Each product is cheaper than the average price of a cup of coffee in a cafe.

Myth #7: It doesn't work.
Fact: Millions of people around the world have successfully lost weight with The 1:1 Diet since it started. If you do it by the book it will work. If you make up your own variations to it then it would be no great surprise if it didn't work.

Myth #8: It's just some person selling you stuff.
Fact: As consultants we are extensively trained. We have to sit and pass an exam. We have a strict set of policies and procedures to adhere to. We work on a one-to-one basis with our clients and are always there for ongoing support, advice, guidance and encouragement.

Myth #9: They don't really care if you lose weight or not, they will get their wage from the company whatever.
Fact: As self employed consultants we don't get a wage from The 1:1 Diet and our businesses can only be successful if our clients are successful so we have as much desire to see you succeed as you do.

Myth #10: Yes but you need to be on plan for the rest of your life.
Fact: If you do The 1:1 Diet properly you should only ever have to do it once. It is all about lifelong changes - Changing portion sizes, changing eating habits, changing taste buds, changing metabolic rates and matching them to the right amount of calories for the individual. The only way to get different results is to make changes.

✨You Need to Spend Energy to Make Energy✨

One ironic thing I’ve discovered about investing in your energy levels is that you need to spend energy to make energy.

For example: It takes energy and willpower to exercise, but you’ll make that energy back, and then some, in increased energy later on.

It takes energy to prepare healthy meals (and resist unhealthy ones), but you’ll get that energy back, too.

It takes energy and some planning to head to bed at a reasonable time, but doing so will give you a ton of energy and focus the next day.

And while you need to spend energy to make energy, you also have to spend time to make energy. This cost often feels too great. It’s easy to look at the choice of working for 30 more minutes versus hitting the gym for a half hour, and deciding that working longer will let you get more done. Doing so will let you accomplish more—but only in the short term. In the long-run, productivity tactics like getting enough sleep, eating well, and exercising will let you bring more energy and focus to your work. This way you can accomplish more in less time. With knowledge work, people who bring twice the energy and focus to their work will get twice as much done. Cultivating your energy level is easily worth the time and energy.

The most productive people recognize the importance of spending energy—and time—to gain more energy.

✨When sleep is the issue - Keep your body moving in the mornings when you haven’t slept well

It may sound even more tiring, but walking to work or going for a morning jog can counteract the impact of poor sleep, says Dr Chris Alford, founding member of the British Sleep Society. If morning exercise simply feels too painful, be sure to get out at lunchtime at least.
