Green juice for more energy, vitality and clear mind! What a treat for the liver after the seasonal celebrations and possible indulgence πŸ₯¬πŸ₯’πŸπŸŒ±.
I find juicing half of the day and having a light meal in the afternoon works best for my body type this time of year as I seem to feel the cold more. Use fresh mint, ginger and anything warming in your juice which will reduce cooling the body but still have those wonderful cleansing and detoxification effects on all organs.
It’s best to use a Masticating juicer which turns the veggies/fruit slowly so vital elements are not lost through heath.
Use local, seasonal fruit and veg and avoid sugary fruits as the detox effect is reduced.

Naturopathic Nutrition Tips for Detox, Winter, and Immune Wellness:

1. Hydrate with Warm Lemon Water: πŸ‹ Start your day with a warm glass of water infused with fresh lemon juice. This helps kickstart your metabolism, aids digestion, and supports liver detoxification.

2. Incorporate Detoxifying Herbs: Include herbs like dandelion root, burdock, and milk thistle in your diet. These herbs support liver function and assist in the elimination of toxins from the body.

3. Choose Seasonal, Colourful Foods: Opt for a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants. Brightly coloured produce, such as berries, kale, and sweet potatoes, provides essential nutrients to boost your immune system.

4. Embrace, Nourishing Foods: Incorporate soups, stews, and teas with immune-boosting ingredients like ginger, and turmeric.

5. Prioritize Gut Health: Include probiotic-rich foods such as yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, and kimchi in your diet. A healthy gut is essential for a robust immune system and overall well-being.

6. Stay Hydrated with Herbal Teas: Hydration is crucial, Choose herbal teas like chamomile, echinacea, or ginger to support your immune system.

7. Include Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Consume sources of omega-3 fatty acids, such as algae flaxseeds, and walnuts. These healthy fats have anti-inflammatory properties and support immune function.

8. Spice it Up with Turmeric: 🌢️ Turmeric, with its active compound curcumin, has potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Add it to soups, curries, or drinks for an immune-boosting kick.

9. Prioritize Vitamin D: β˜€οΈ when sunlight exposure may be limited, consider supplementing with vitamin D. This vitamin plays a crucial role in immune function.

10. Reduce Sugar Intake: 🍬 Minimize processed sugars in your diet. Excessive sugar intake can suppress the immune system and contribute to inflammation.

11. Enjoy Herbal Infusions: 🍡 Explore immune-supportive herbs such as elderberry, astragalus, and echinacea. Create nourishing herbal infusions to sip throughout the day.

12. Listen to Your Body: Pay attention to your body's signals. If you feel the need to rest, honour that. Stress reduction and adequate sleep are vital for overall wellness and immune health.

Remember, Naturopathic Nutrition is about nourishing your body with whole, unprocessed foods that support its natural detoxification processes and enhance its ability to thrive.
