What a great way to spend the afternoon of the Friday before Christmas!!

What started off as very civilized and gentle throwing of quickly descended into all out competitive throwing and my word there are some strong arms here🤣🤣and there were some very definite tactics being used as well!

It's been a busy time here at with everyone getting into the full swing of and embracing the 🎅🎄🎉🎊🎀🎁

This year in addition to the amazing tree and decorations throughout our home, we have introduced "The Grotto". This was a suggestion from several of our residents who asked for a magical place for the children (and grown ups!) to be able to enjoy, and thank you so much to our wonderful colleague Katie who created the balloon arch and to everyone who helped with all of the decorating.

We had the pleasure of welcoming the En Pointe dancers here last weekend.

The children performed so beautifully and were so lovely and friendly to everyone, it made everyone's day to watch them and to have a chat afterwards.

Just look at this wonderful Cheeky Chappy!! He has been lovingly created by our "Knit and Natter" ladies, and is the result of a real team effort with everyone contributing various parts which were then stitched together.

Rachel has been nominated to receive a "GEM Award" by team members as well as residents and families who are all so grateful for everything that she does.

Rachel is a member of our Housekeeping team, she is deeply caring, a fantastic team player and can always be relied upon to help and support at any time.

She also always has the biggest smile😁 to greet everyone that she meets and is an absolute joy to be around.

Jayne is our Head of House-Keeping and has been presented with her "15 years of Service" award. Jayne is diligent, hard working, caring and brings a calm "can do" approach to everything she comes across.

It's time to celebrate another of our wonderful colleagues!

This month's "GEM Award" was presented to Phil as a result of the number of colleagues, residents, families and friends who completed a "Going the Extra Mile" slip to recognise everything that he does.
