Last week, a competition was available if chosen to do a quiz they could mark answers onto. The winner would be able to go to a local cafe for a drink.
We had joint winners of 16 out of 19 getting the most correct, so Bill and Shirley were taken to Cioni's this afternoon. Well done both, hope you enjoyed.

Did you know, that MHA are joined up to use Famileo
Famileo is a app-based service that converts digital photos and messages into a gazette.
It is a way to stay connected and share moments that you as family/friends can share with your loved ones. It gives them something to enjoy and read, which you can catch up more on with your visits, or we could use as a 1-1 engagement activity. It keeps your loved one upto date with what is happening in your life.
On our end at Morel Court, we in turn can upload pictures of your loved one to their private wall, so you can see what activities they chose to take part in. Thr app is ideal as not all family or friends use Facebook to see our page. We can upload newsletters and inform of anything special that is upcoming too.
The app is really easy to use, the gazette is set up in design, so no worrying on that, all you need to do is add digital photo, then to write a message explaining what went on, then once finished and confirmed (which needs to be done by Sunday) we get a notification, so we can print off the gazette on a Monday. You can chose to do this weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
We would love for more family and friends to join, you will need a code, which we can give to you in person when you pop in, or email it to you.
This is something meaningful for your loved one to enjoy. It is also free for you to use. It is great to stay connected.

Another day, and another beautiful day, so what better way to enjoy an afternoon than having a mocktail drink, inside and out.
Offerings included a raspberry coulis mixed with ice and cranberry juice, passionfruit with elderflower, ice and sparkling water, or orange juice, with ice and ginger ale, all with a slice of orange garnish. Something different to promote the importance to getting the minimum of 6-8 glasses of fluids intake daily.
To top it off, the opportunity to having hand reflexology done, and enjoying the garden.

After the tea party yesterday, many residents took advantage of the sunshine in the garden and Arthur was taken to the cliff tops to see the sea views. Those in the garden had a game of drink roulette, land on black they tried a shot of cherry tea and land on the red, they had coconut milk, all that little nudge to remind them to stay hydrated for hydration week.

Today is the kick start to Nutrition and hydration week, we want to highlight the importance of eating healthy and making sure we drink hydration style drinks enough daily.
We held an Alice in Wonderland themed tea party for the residents at lunch time, where some staff dressed into character, to serve the residents, even with a game of never have i ever, but if they did, they took a sip from the drink me bottles.
The video, shows the dining room set up as wonderland, before the residents came in.
Of course, pictures of today will be coming too.
Big thank you to Management, Seniors & Carers, Kitchen team and Activities and Maintainance, to make the day enjoyable for all.
They enjoyed the food for those on normal diets or on an IDDSI Dysphagia diets, as we wanted everyone to enjoy their food like any other day.
It was lovely to hear the residents comments, and see the smiles on their faces.
