🌿Top 25 Essential Oil Tips and Tricks 🌿
1. Store your oils in upright position out of reach of small children.
2. Store oils out of direct sunlight.
3. Carrier oils dilute EOs.
4. There are 85-100 drops in a 5ml bottle.
5. There are 250-300 drops in a 15ml bottle.
6. EOs can smell slightly different in the bottle, diffused, and applied topically so if you don’t like at first whiff in the bottle, you may like it better diffused.
7. When in doubt, read the label! Peel back the label for dilution and safety information.
8. Use oils daily to support overall wellness..stress support and sleep are a must.
9. Wait 12-24 hours before sun exposure with most citrus oils.
10. Do not touch the or***ce reducer.
11. What works for you may not work for someone else. Oils have varying benefits for different people. Try oils within the same family or action group.
12. Don’t just rub oils anywhere. Oils that are fine on arms and legs may not be safe to put inside your mouth, nose, eyes or private parts.
13. “Hot” means the oil may feel hot or warm when applied topically. Use carrier oil to dilute.
14. “Neat” means to apply or use without carrier oil.
15. If you experience an uncomfortable response, add additional carrier oil or discontinue use.
16. If using the Vitality line, you may also use the same way as the regular line. The oils inside the bottle are the same, only the label is different.
17. Rotate your oil use rather than using the same oils over and over.
18. Do consider age. Always dilute with carrier oil for those under the age of 12.
19. Be mindful of others when using EOs in small spaces.
20. Do not consume if under the age of 6.
21. If any oils get in your eye, rinse with milk or carrier oil, not with water.
22. Do not discard oils you dislike the aroma of at first. Our olfactory preferences are influenced by hormones, pregnancy, monthly cycle, immune system, memory associations, medications etc. and can change with time.
23. When introducing oils to children, create positive associations first like using in playdoh.
24. Clean your diffuser weekly.
25. Create a routine with oils. They can’t help you if you don’t use them! 😊
