Oh September, you where a whole mood 🌊

Family camping, playing with friends, daredevil kids, salty sauna escapes with friends, beautiful collaborations, muddy kids, Pilates (and more Pilates!) in stunning Cardiff studios… and of course cuddles with our rescue cats. 🐾

This month was a reminder: movement + connection + a little coastal magic = pure joy.

As autumn settles in, I’m grateful for every mat rolled out, every breath shared, every moment of strength and stillness.

I’m trying so hard to be the chill mum.
To not count in my head how many arms I’d need to keep everyone from slipping, falling, getting hurt.
To not hover like a human safety net.
To not let my own fears spill out and soak into my kids’ minds.

It’s not that I don’t see the risks—believe me, I see them. My brain can spot every possible hazard like it’s running a danger-detection app on high alert. But I’m learning to pause, breathe, and trust.

Because I want them to feel safe and free.
I want their memories of childhood to be about joy, curiosity, and adventure—not about mum’s white-knuckle grip on the world.

So every day, I unclench a little.
I let them climb, run, explore.
I smile when they wobble.

And I keep reminding myself: their courage grows best when mine does too.

Movement is my sanity.

Whether it’s doing Pilates practice, yoga at a campsite, jumping in the sea, playing (badly) at football with my kids, or painting.

I move in my own way because it makes me feel better, it keeps me sane, and it makes me happy. It’s as simple as that.

And maybe you have your version of this too.
It might not be Pilates or swimming or chasing a ball across the garden—it might be music, baking, running, gardening, or dancing in your kitchen.
Whatever it is, it’s worth protecting.

Because the thing that moves you—literally or figuratively—isn’t just a hobby.
It’s your reset button.
It’s the thing that steadies your mind and makes life feel more like yours.

So here’s your reminder: find your way to move, and make space for it.
Not because you “should” but because you’ll thank yourself later.

I know I’ve been a bit quieter on here lately — did it derail my teaching? Not at all ✨ Being more present in real life lets the magic sneak in - opening the door to some truly beautiful connections 🌀

September is already looking sparkly with exciting things on the horizon — but right now it’s all about soaking up a long, wild summer with my boys ☀️🌊🧘

Classes every Tuesday at 6pm and Wednesday at 10am — more coming soon, so stick around!

The biggest thing yoga and Pilates have done for me? Besides my body, mental health, and bone strength getting stronger and realising there’s actually a muscle under my mum tum.

But honestly, the best part? My pelvic floor is way stronger — I don’t p*e when I laugh anymore. Mums, you know the struggle 😂

“If yoga doesn’t challenges you or stir something up… you might want to ask what you’re doing?.”

I read this recently and it stuck with me!

Yoga isn’t about getting it right.
It’s about what rises up when we stop trying to perform and start listening.
The stuff hiding beneath the poses.

Yoga isn’t always calm.
Sometimes it’s messy, emotional, and full of stuff you didn’t expect to feel.

And yes; sometimes it’s me in a field trying to get 2 mins of movement in, knowing my son has clocked me and is about to use me as a climbing frame!

Still counts. Maybe it counts even more.

The ripple effect is real 🎨💫

Last night we went to a painting event held by a friend for a bit of creative time… This morning? The kids were up before breakfast, asking me with questions about it.

Before I could even put the coffee on, the lounge was a full-blown art studio —no uniforms, no toast, just chaos and creativity flying everywhere.

They really are little sponges..

Always watching, soaking it all up. It’s wild how one little thing we do ripples right through them. As parents, we’re setting the tone more than we realise. 💛

Creativity caught on fast—and honestly, I love that. Even if my sofa didn’t 😂💛

I know I said I wasn’t doing any more training… but I couldn’t say no to this one!

Pilates training: DONE. So glad I took the leap, information packed!

Now it’s time to swap the mat for mum mode—ready for two full weeks with my little boys, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Slow Down. Breathe. Heal.

Yin yoga is a powerful practice for deep release—not just in your body, but in your nervous system. Unlike fast-paced flows, yin invites you to soften, surrender, and stay. By holding poses for several minutes, you activate your parasympathetic nervous system—the “rest and digest” state where real healing happens.

One of my favorite poses for this? Legs Up the Wall (Viparita Karani).

✨ Relieves tension in the legs and lower back
✨ Calms the mind and reduces stress
✨ Supports circulation and lymphatic drainage
✨ Helps balance the nervous system

Just a few minutes in this pose can shift you from feeling overwhelmed to deeply at ease. So if you’re carrying stress, take a moment. Put your legs up the wall, close your eyes, and let gravity do the work. Your nervous system will thank you.
