Happy International Women’s Day. Today we will be meeting Kath, an inspirational manager who embodies this year’s theme “give to gain”
I joined Ty Llandaff in October 2022 as I came across this job on LinkedIn and thought ‘this home looks beautiful” Needless to say, it is. I spent some time in the home before my start date getting to know our amazing residents. Our phenomenal team and the loving families of those who we have the privilege to spend every day caring for. Our senior management team, Chris, Rachel, Jo and Maria are so very warm and support me in my role.
I have been in Health care for over 30 years since I was 17 years of age and I can honestly say I absolutely love what I do. I know some might think that’s such a cliché, but if you spent a day in Ty Llandaff you would understand my passion and commitment.
I deal with the overall managment of the home and compliance. My day varies greatly. One day I could be attending assessments and managing admissions the next I could be in the office working behind the scenes, or on the floor supporting the team, I’m even known to do the night shift.
Being a Home Manager is the most rewarding job I have ever had the pleasure of doing, it teaches me how to be strong, kind and I am as passionate today as I have always been about great care”
I have the privilege of caring fo the most wonderful residents, with the excellent team at Ty Llandaff, and together with Andrea the Clinical lead, we couldn’t be prouder.
