General information
Advocacy Matters (Wales) employs Casework Advocates. They are paid to provide advocacy support for people with learning disability in Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan, Bridgend and Rhondda Cynon Taf, on issues that are important to the person. We also provide a specialised advocacy service for people with Asperger syndrome in Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan. Our Citizen Advocacy Co-ordinator also recruits Citizen Advocates. They are volunteers who are not paid. They are introduced to a person with a learning disability, and are there to help the person to speak up for themselves in any situation. This service is also available in Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan.
