Iris Care Group acquires Awelon Healthcare, launching new specialist residential services in South Wales ⬇️

We are proud to announce that we are growing our residential division in Wales following the acquisition of Awelon Healthcare, adding two new specialist services to Iris Care Group – Mount Pleasant Stables, and Park View House.

Joining our established specialist residential care services, which already includes 19 services operating across South Wales, Bristol, and South Gloucestershire, this acquisition adds a further two services to the group in Swansea and Llantwit Major.

This acquisition is a positive step in our ongoing mission to develop specialist treatment and care pathways for the most complex needs in the UK, and Dr Andy Jones, Chief Executive Officer at Iris Care Group, commented:

“These developments further demonstrate our strategic focus to build a leading care group that delivers compassionate and specialist, integrated services for adults with the most complex needs. We remain committed to investing in our services, our environments and our people to ensure we provide the right care, in the right setting, at the right time.”

Park View House offers 7 bedrooms across a spacious detached residential property, and 2 single-person self-contained flats within an accessible bungalow.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – our Iris Care Group Staff Awards! 🎉

We had a brilliant time together at our Staff Awards this week, celebrating our colleagues for their amazing achievements in 2025, and thanking our long service staff members for their dedication over the years.

It has been a truly incredible year for our organisation, and we are all very proud of our teams, and excited for the future of Iris Care Group.

This year Marcus Allen, our Security Lead at Heatherwood Court Hospital, won the Exceptional Training and Development Programme Award at the Neurological and Complex Care Awards for his outstanding contributions to Heatherwood Court.
