My name's Kate and I've been running Tots Play Cardiff North since September 2014. My Award Winning classes are so much fun, while giving your little ones a developmental boost! We have a great mix of activities in each session - Baby & Toddler Yoga, Sign Language, Music & Movement, Instruments, Baby Massage, Story Massage, Bubbles, Sensory Play and loads more! All designed to intrigue, stimulate and encourage your little one to develop their senses through play! We have three different classes, suitable from Birth to 2.5 years old.:
Baby Development (Birth to 6 months old)
Discovery Tots (8-12 weeks to active crawling)
Social Tots (crawling to 2.5 years)

All of my sessions are very friendly and welcoming! We help to support Parents and Carers to build friendships at classes. Awards:

While we get back to normal after the last 2 years, we still have safety measures in place at my classes, such as lots of natural ventilation with the windows open in our classroom, extra cleaning and more. In Feb 2021, I set up the Petition to ask Welsh Government for a date for the return of face to face Baby & Toddler Play classes in Wales. I worked alongside other Class Providers in Wales to push as hard as we could. Our Petition led to a mention at the Senedd from Plaid Cymru MS Bethan Sayed, being mentioned by LBC at the Welsh Government briefing on Monday 8th March 2021, being on Global radio twice, BBC Wales Today twice, BBC Online twice, Wales Online, ITV Wales came to film at my outdoor classes in April 2021 and The Children's Commissioner for Wales' Senior Team was so concerned about our issue when I contacted them that they met with Welsh Government Officials in April 2021 to ask them if we could reopen indoors sooner. A whirlwind of a campaign, but all the hard work was so worth it to bring the issue of Parents and their Babies and Toddlers in Wales needing much more support that Welsh Government were providing as we started to unlock in 2021. 👋 Hands up who’s ever felt lonely as a parent?
I know I have. Many times.

It can be really hard to admit, maybe even to yourself and especially in this crazy world of social media where everything has to be hashtag perfect this and hashtag making memories that.
As if there isn’t already enough pressure in parenthood right!!

😵‍💫Having a chat and letting all our real life messy out with people in similar situations is so important!! Just knowing that you’re not alone in feeling how you feel or going through similar experiences can, as a parent, make such a blimen difference to your mental health, your wellbeing and your loneliness 🧡

None of us are perfect, as people or as parents. I’ve been a mum for nearly 13 years and I’m most definitely still winging it!! Every.single.day (but we must never tell my kids ok!!) Some days are more successful than others!!

One thing I’ve learnt in this job working with thousands of families over the last 11 years and counting is to never judge other parents, we all do it differently and we’re all trying our best. And why would we all want to be the same anyway?!

So guys please feel free to join in on the open invites for a play & coffee after every single one of my classes - everyone is welcome to join in and you’re all so lovely and welcoming ❤️
I’ll do the asking so you don’t have to, just be brave and give me a little wave if you’d like to go too 👋 because after the first wave it becomes a thing and you’ll be so glad you did!!!

👋 Goodbye to Llanishen Rugby Club!

Thanks for the many years of happy memories, I’ve popped them safe in my pocket 🥰! I’ve left the harder memories there 👋

I’ve worked out I ran over 2,000 classes & parties there 😮 Thank you so much to everyone who joined me!!

I only just fitted everything in my car home yesterday!! Blimey it was fuller than when we go camping 😂

😍 Classes this week were so much fun! It’s been a fabulous 6 weeks with you all & I’m so excited to welcome you all to our NEW space at the fabulous Caerleon Child Care Cardiff - Llanishen from the 24th February!!

😵‍💫I was so tired on Saturday, I went a bit wobbly at Daddy & Me classes!! It was definitely a very busy & crazy week last week!!

Absolutely loved seeing everyone on Saturday!! Thank you for coming!!
We have a hard core of regular Daddies who come nearly every single month and I really appreciate you all! 🙌

Also a lovely mix of new to class Dads come each month too, it’s always fab to welcome new Dads & your Tots in!!

📆 Next month’s Daddy & Me classes are Saturday 7th March and we’ll be at my new home Caerleon Child Care in our new amazing space & with free entry to Jump soft play!! Open invites after both classes to go through to Jump together, with its cafe and toddler & baby play areas!

🥰 After spending over half of my youngest daughter’s life coming and helping Mummy work at the Club, my girls said goodbye on Saturday 🧡

A special mention to Phil who, when I started running my classes at the Club in Sept 2020 on being able to reopen them in Covid times (I had to find a new venue then too as my usual venues wouldn’t reopen), used to have my girls helping him ‘organise’ stacks of playmobil while I ran outdoor classes in the Clubs garden!

And a big thank you to Liam, who was so supportive of me starting my Daddy & Me classes at the Club in October 2024 when he was Manager there 🫶

We roll onwards Daddies, I hope you all love our new home!! I can’t wait to see you all next month!

From the w.c 23rd February we will be based at Caerleon Child Care Cardiff - Llanishen 4 days a week!

🩷 Cwtch Baby Bank Donations delivery! 🩷

Wow! Today’s donations drop off was a whole boot full & half the back seat of newborn clothes, towels, blankets & nappies!! 🙌
A massive thank you so much for all your donations at classes this last few weeks!!

😞 Cwtch are busier than ever, with over 40 referrals to complete each month, which is massively up in the last year or so.
They pack everything a newborn baby needs with love into moses baskets and baby baths for familes in need in the local area 🫶

➡️ Despite all the amazing recent donations, they are still in DESPERATE need of NEWBORN baby clothes & HOODED BABY TOWELS.

➡️ I can also take donations of Mum & Baby toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothpaste etc), clothes from tiny baby to 0-3 months, baby sleeping bags 0-6 months, both open or new packets of disposable baby nappies & baby blankets.

If you have any of these that are good quality, clean & non stained to donate…

🧡 If you currently come to my classes, please bring them to your class & I’ll drop them down in one go! I’m limited in my storage space at my home so I can only take items from my list 🥰

🧡 If you don’t currently come to my classes, drop off to Cwtch at their unit in Taffs Well can be arranged by emailing Clare at cwtchbabybank@gmail.com. They are run entirely by volunteers and open at different times so drop off needs to be arranged before you go 🥰

🥰 They also have an Amazon wish list in case anyone can help in that way!
