Control of Asbestos Regulations came into force on April 6th 2012, although the changes it made were limited, here are the changes it has made:

1) Any non-licensed asbestos work needs to be notified to the local authority

2) You should keep written records of any non-licensed work that you have carried out.

3) By April 2012 anyone who works with non-licensed Asbestos needs to be under the health surveillance of a Doctor

4) Modernising of the language so that there are no conflicts between other pieces of legislation
