Recently extensively refurbished, Regency House is a purpose-built care home in Ely, on the outskirts of Cardiff, with 58 single rooms and 6 shared rooms, all en-suite. We are pleased to be able to offer award-winning design initiatives in addition to our high standards of residential and nursing care. Our relationship-centred ethos, which recognises the unique needs and expectations of the individual, allows us to tailor a care package that ensures that we meet the emotional, physical and social well-being of our residents. We empower our residents to carry on living a fulfilled life and support them to continue the everyday routines and activities they are used to but thought they may have left behind.

🦅✨ A Truly Unforgettable Visit from Falconry UK ✨🦉

We were delighted to welcome Falconry UK to Regency House, giving our residents a wonderful opportunity to learn all about these magnificent birds of prey. From fascinating facts and stories to the chance to hold the birds themselves, it was an experience that truly captured everyone’s attention.

There were moments of amazement, plenty of questions, and lots of smiles as residents got up close and personal with these incredible creatures. Experiences like this bring something a little different into our home and create memories that will be talked about for a long time to come.

Morgan truly embodies the spirit of Regency House. She has consistently given her own time and covered the cost of using her home printing equipment to create personalised cake toppers for our residents’ birthdays, as well as during the Christmas period. These thoughtful touches ensure every celebration feels personal, meaningful, and full of joy for our residents and their families.

Morgan is always willing to go the extra mile and cannot do enough to help at any time. Her kindness, creativity and dedication make a real difference every single day, and she is a shining example of what it means to be a Moment Maker at Regency House.

🐦🌿 National Bird Watching Day at Regency House 🌿🐦

To celebrate National Bird Watching Day, our residents enjoyed a wonderfully calm and engaging activity, spotting birds in our lovely garden through the camera and identifying the different visitors as they appeared.

Afterwards, residents matched the birds they had seen and spent time colouring them in, bringing each feathered friend to life with their own personal touch. It was a beautiful way to connect with nature, spark conversation, and enjoy a moment of peaceful creativity together.

A simple activity, but one that brought smiles, focus, and a real sense of joy — all while enjoying the sights of our garden and its special visitors. 💚🕊️

🍻🎶 A Taste of the Good Old Days 🎶🍻

Our residents had a wonderful afternoon enjoying cards, dominoes, and some much-loved old-fashioned games including penny push, pinball, tabletop skittles, and quoits.

With a favourite tipple from the bar, plenty of chatter, and lots of laughter, the afternoon was made even better with a cheerful sing-along to classic pub songs like Roll Out the Barrel, Daisy Daisy, and My Old Man.

Good company, great fun, and plenty of smiles all round. ❤️

Today we are celebrating two very special birthdays at Regency House as we wish a very happy birthday to June and Jennifer!

🌸✨ A Splash of Colour for January ✨🌸

With the Christmas decorations now packed away, our residents decided it was time to bring a little colour back into the home. Today’s activity was all about creating beautiful flower arrangements and they certainly didn’t disappoint!

From choosing the perfect blooms to arranging them just right, the room was filled with creativity, conversation, and plenty of smiles. These gorgeous displays are now brightening our spaces and lifting spirits the perfect way to welcome the new year and add some cheer to a January day.

Sometimes, it’s the simplest touches that make the biggest difference. 💐❤️

Christmas Day was filled with excitement as Santa and his trusty helper delivered presents to our residents, spreading joy, warmth and festive spirit throughout the home.
