It’s Hotpod Yoga Cardiff ten year birthday this month, so it’s sad that Liz is no longer here to celebrate with me.
After six years of soul grinding fighting cancer her pain is gone now and she is at peace.
In the classic texts of Yoga like the Bhagavad Gita, it tells us that’s no one really dies, the essence of a person known as the Atma is eternal and will carry on, just in a different form, life and death are a eternal cycle built into the very fabric of being human, and the bitter pill of pain and grief will be fade with time into light and joy.
I always had a dream to teach yoga, but it was Liz who made it a reality.
Ten years ago I did a yoga workshop for Anna at Hotpod Swansea and Liz felt instantly in love with the hotpod.
I wasn’t so sure, hard core Ashtanga Yoga was my thing, a purple heated pod was not, I said no, she said yes, she got her own way, she always did, and thank goodness she did.
We had had 26 years together and two beautiful girls Trinity and Cheyenne, 18 snd 16 now, how time flies, and with s fantastic 10 year run with our Hotpod, with great teachers and so many lovely clients who seem to love the pod.
Liz was a big personality and life is going to be very quiet without her, but I know she would want me to forge ahead and continue to bring yoga to all the stressed out people in life who need it, so let’s turn the heat up and get sweaty for a new ten years of yoga to come.
