An example of my nutrition in a day 🍲

Protein has been an important part of my foods for over 5 years, I hit perimenopause age 39, My dutch lab results/symptoms show I am now deep in menopause, I am 47, I train weights 4x per week and have been weightlifting for over 7 years.

I calculate my macros, daily protein, good fats and carbohydrates to my ‘bio-individuality’ and experience of my health needs. Why?

I have a history of metabolic syndrome, pre-diabetes, severe allergies, suspected thyroid disease and obesity-tendency. There has been much trauma therefore I have a disposition to inflammation. My body has overspilled many times in this life.

My functional health tests indicate my body/genetic snps do not metabolise fats as well as protein and carbohydrates.
I include good fats into my daily diet but limited to my ‘bio’ as well as carbohydrates with plenty of fibre. All tailored to my ‘bio- INDIVIDUALITY’

I do the same with my clients but thats not the first step.
I educate you first, reset your habits and hold you accountable.
I do not advocate quick weight loss, on the scales constantly or getting stressed by numbers they do however need to come into play, my health and nutrition is its best when I dial in.

Balanced nutrition is important, Protein is vital for metabolic balance and Menopausal health as well as Fibre and Good Fats tailored to you.

Nutritional Medicine 💚

I have just completed my Nutritional Medicine studies which which includes 2 integrated qualifications -

Nutrition & Psychological Integrative Life Coaching.

It has been an incredible 2 years with a community of people whereby I shared the most transformative journey with like minded individuals whom i am fortunate to now call friends 🫶

Having followed Khush - Dr Khush Mark PhD for years and years, I jumped at the opportunity to join the school that Khush has brought to life with passion, knowledge, experience, expertise and heart ❤️

Things I Wish Id Known before joining The New School of Nutritional Medicine:

• It would connect all the dots between Mind & Body that I now integrate with my Soul work bringing a complete Full Circle ⭕️ Whole Person Practice.

• I would not need a science degree or doctorate to understand and do the work.

• Coaching is Transformative, Nutrition is Medicine but without treating the Whole Person integrating Psychological Life Coaching the nutrients may not be able to work there magic, managing Life, Stress, being Fully Seen & Heard can be equally as Important.

• It will all come together as Khush says Nutrition, Rapid Relief Homeopathy and Integrative Psychological Coaching - Trust the Process.

• My Son would not only be watching, listening & absorbing, he would be my biggest supporter, learn with me and ride beside me.

• It would change not only my life but those around me.

• I would make Soul friends and memories to cherish forever.

I don’t feel 47 I feel like I am just getting started (which is a little concerning 🤣) although having learnt so much in this lifetime I sometimes feel 87 😂
What I do know is I am entering a No BS hair flicking era - that is absolutely certain👌😅
Which leads me to my No BS Skin Nutrition Tips & Practices I follow as a Now 47 year old 🙌

What I Do:
🤍 Sleep 8 hours per night aimimg to be asleep by 10-11pm (growth hormone, repair, circadian rhythm, cortisol….. (there is the odd occasion such as assignment deadline or celebration 😉)
🤍 Water 2-3 litres per day (3 litres if I’m training)
🤍 Nutritious real food (plus cake & chocolate here & there its all about balance 😄)
🤍 Morning daylight & walk.
🤍 Breathwork with Meditation.
🤍 Gratitude.
🤍 Movement/Exercise.
🤍 Minerals/Tissue salts - Dependant on what need/feel that Day/Week.
🤍 Tailored supplements to suit my bio individuality using the results from my functional DNA/health tests.
🤍 Skincare - Pure clean nutritious facial oils and skincare my very own micro batch full of plant polyphenols. (Will be up on my Sam Davies website sooooon 🙌)
Skin Treatments:
✨ Facial massage.
✨ Laser skin rejuvenation.
✨ LED Light Therapy
✨ Fruit acid peel in autumn/winter only.
*I use all of these methods plus more in my - ✨Wholskinology®️Facial ✨

What I don’t Do (No judgement here EVER! Just sharing what I don’t do)
No Botox.
No Fillers.
No Harsh Skincare.
No Fasting (not suitable for my metabolic and hormonal health)
No Fasted Training (muscle needs glucose/energy to grow)
No Cold baths (not suitable for my adrenal health)
No BS.
No Judgement.

Remember I do not ‘Fix’ you, I hold a safe space without judgement, prejudice or a tunnel view for you to become your best self 🤍

I share knowledge, coach you to resilience, advise nutritional health if needed and heal your body with what some may call ‘woo woo’

We all have a story, a timeline named bio-individuality it is never ‘one size fits all.’
One should never compare unless you have walked another’s shoes of which is impossible as we all walk our own path.

My dad whom comes to mind here always said to me ‘Samantha never judge a book by its cover, you never know what that person may have gone through’
He died of motor neurone disease just aged ‘29’ he suffered terribly - I share this only to give insight (not looking for sympathy or acknowledgment)

I have carried this with me always, I still hear him saying it to me, I see his face while he’s saying it, it is with me in my treatment room and with each and every person I treat. So Thank you Dad.
