📢 Flu Vaccine Text Messages – Important Information

We are currently sending out text messages to encourage our patients to have their flu vaccine with pre-bookable appointment links.

Due to mandatory use of the Welsh Immunisation System this year combined with our own GP clinical system, there can be a delay in vaccine records being updated on your medical record.

This means that some patients may receive a reminder text even if they’ve already had their flu vaccine.

We understand this may be frustrating and apologise for any confusion unfortunately, this delay is outside of our control.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep our community healthy this winter! 💉🌟

Disappointed to have to report...

The Health Centre in llanrumney has yet again suffered damage to the roof.
This time, for what appears to be around £60 worth of scrap metal, it has resulted in thousands of pounds worth of damage.

It’s disheartening to say, but this is not an isolated incident.
As a General Practice, we are given one single pot of funding — this covers GP hours, Nursing hours, Administration hours, Equipment, and the upkeep of the premises.

Every time something like this happens, it has a direct impact on the services and care we can provide to our community.

We really have to ask — what will have to change to stop this?

A huge THANKS to the staff and patients who turned up for our first weekend flu clinic on this blustery Saturday in Llanrumney. 💨
The staff will be doing it all again tomorrow in Llanedeyrn so look forward to seeing you all, hopefully with the sun shining ☀️
