A huge thank you the Sandy Bear Children’s Bereavement Charity team for delivering such an insightful and compassionate bereavement training session to our volunteers and counsellors.

The training equipped our team with practical tools to better support children, young people, and families experiencing loss, strengthening the quality of care we provide in our community.

We also appreciate our partnership with Hayaat Women Trust coordinating this valuable event.

Thank you to everyone involved in making it a success 🩵💙

🌳 Help Us Grow a Greener Cardiff! 🌳

Did you know Coed Caerdydd is helping to plant more trees across Cardiff as part of the city’s climate and biodiversity efforts? ✨ What you can do:
🌲 Nominate a site where you’d love to see more trees
🌳 Request free trees to plant in your front or back garden
🤝 Community & school groups can request trees and support

Everyone will only ever have a first solo trip... and for mine I chose to spend it with some whale sharks in Western Australia.

It was a big step for me to take, but it was one I gladly took with a backpack named Luna and some un-diagnosed autism for company... or was it?

Sometimes I second guess myself and sometimes I don't... but if you're eager to know, I'm sure you'll find the answers in the pages.

Who are we?

Community Care and Wellbeing Service (CCAWS) is a mental health charity based in Cardiff and consists of a team of volunteers who provide specialist support to the local community within South Wales. CCAWS is a new charity (registered 2018) building on the work of its predecessor, Ihasaan Social Support Association Wales (ISSA), which was set up by volunteers from the community to support people from the Black Asian Ethnic Minority (BAME) and Muslim communities by providing holistic support. A core group of individuals from ISSA consulted with volunteers, beneficiaries and stakeholders and the decision was made to start a charity which would focus on three main strands; Advocacy, Befriending and Counselling and consequently CCAWS was formed.
