As we head into the last day of I want to take a second to talk through the importance of getting the message out there.

In a world full of speaking up we never hesitate to show our support for illness and health conditions. Yet, still there is a huge stigma attached to fertility. This deeply saddens me as we would never judge someone for having a heart condition or needing a filling in a bad tooth…..
Fertility is a health problem, something inside isn’t working properly, and we need help to find out what’s wrong and what can be done 🤷‍♀️

People can choose to do that privately or publicly (and it’s absolutely ok to be either of those types)
Education is power
Without knowing facts we can’t move forward.

Every day should be …..

is every single day for so many.
Let’s fight with them and for them 🫶🏻

Why do we begin our plans with a full consultation?

1. So you get to see who we are and if you are comfortable working with your chosen therapist.

2. By taking a full medical background and asking you lots of questions we can be sure that your plan is exactly what you need.

3. It might be that we are not the right service for you. Our signposting is outstanding and we would never take on a client knowing they needed something else. You’ll also get your money back as we are hugely focused on delivering an ethical and appropriate service.

If you have questions don’t be afraid to get in touch.
It will be the beginning of you getting the right support from the right places 🫶🏻

Sleep is one of the most important factors for our health.
Having healthy sleeping habits will almost certainly mean you have better hormone function, better digestion and better mental health.

How we improve our sleep depends on what is impacting on it!
But we know for sure what we eat, drink, read, watch, who we spend time with, if we take drugs and how much exercise we do deeply impacts our sleep.

This week look out for some more info on what impacts our sleep and easy steps to take to get into good habits. Especially great for those who are trying to drop some weight.

This couldn’t be truer.

To find out just how much better you’ll feel do these very simple things, and assess how you feel a week later.
Go outside every day and sit quietly for 10 minutes.
Replace 90% of you liquid intake with water. Especially important trick is to drink a large glass or mug of hot water as soon as you wake up.
Sit down for 30 minutes every single day and do absolutely nothing!!
The last two you can combine as the best exercise for the mind and body to work as a good team is walking.
Fresh air and a nice walk. The ideal relationship to heal you from within.
A daily walk of 30 minutes WILL completely change your life.
Try these small changes.

Medicine doesn’t have to come in a bottle from a factory.
We can take the control back and make the best of ourselves ❤️

Decided to take up the offer of becoming a member of EFS
In my opinion you never stop learning, and the more access we have to research and education…….. the better the experience of our clients.

I found my motivation to go for a run.
This particular stretch of road seems to go on forever in my mind. It doesn’t and it’s quite short 🫣
I decided to use the time to reflect on 3 positive things that have happened in the last 24 hours.
1. I met someone last night in clinic who was so happy and focused on her journey. Not happy it had worked out the way it did, because she had clearly been to hell and back, but happy that she knew what she wanted to do and how she was getting there. She knew exactly what the plan was and I salute that. Thank you for sharing your time with me.
2. I got to see my favourite. I don’t need to explain that. I just feel safe with him. Always have for all of the years we’ve been in each other’s lives. Safe is what makes it special.
3. Today I took a quick break from work to collect some clothes I’d ordered to Next. When my daughter and I were waiting a family also came to collect something. The 3 or 4 year old said hello to us both, she then told her Mum she was going to give us a hug. We both got a huge hug and then had a quick chat with the family before having another big goodbye. Just a pure, kind and lovely act. That family have no idea how much of an impact they had on us. We’ve both smiled so much this evening.
A pretty good 24 hours.
I’m fully committed to making tomorrow a happy positive day to.

Thank you universe 🙏

Remember we said we wanted to do something special 🙂
Well, there are just 3 cards remaining in my possession for Pay it forward September.
These special cards can help someone you know.
I am more than happy to pass these last few free full consultations on to any of my friends who’d like to help someone.
So, if you know someone who’s struggling with their fertility and they don’t know what to do next………get in touch for a card.

Today is the day 🚨🚨

I am going to sort out my dress wardrobe! My winter coats live at the back of it, and while I won’t be getting them out just yet, the whole wardrobe will be getting a sort out today…..
Many of the things in there will be going off to new homes as I’ve worn some to death and others are now too big after a two dress size drop thanks to being able to run again (and some nasty medication)

Keeping your clothes/wardrobes/drawers in order can be really therapeutic and pleasing.
I happen to think that by doing tasks like this you can help train yourself into being more organised in other areas.
Tidy house = tidy mind is no joke!!

It’ll take me most of the day to do just this! everything comes out. Then I put the stuff in piles of weather and function i.e beach, work or casual.
If I haven’t worn it for over 2 years or I know it’s too big it’s goodbye!!

The feeling of pleasure at the end of the day will be lovely.

Like I said, getting things in order is therapeutic.
It’s a small part of generally feeling better about life and yourself ❤️

I’m my opinion the most challenging thing about lifestyle changes is getting your head around what foods you should eat.

We are going to do some posts about this next week.

These little beauties are part of my lunch 🫢
I can hear the food police sirens 🚨 in the distance * but that’s not good eating*
Actually I disagree!!!
Decent homemade cakes are not bad news
Processed factory made stuff is not the best so needs seriously limiting!
But if you buy good quality organic ingredients, cook at home and eat sensibly you will not have any negative side effects on your journey.

My organic, gluten-free (because I’m horribly sensitive to food with gluten in it 🤮💩) mini Victoria cakes 🤤

If you are trying to lose weight however I’d say you’d need to be prepared to be more carefully. The key is actually creating a food/exercise balance as “diet” food is hideously bad for you. Especially if it’s prepared in a factory!!
Honestly every single person should exercise, no matter what your situation, but it is essential for good hormone balance (that’s a different post so look for that also)

My take on this is that I should be making it really easy for my clients to make the right choices, and they can only do this if they are educated on the matter 😬

Finally I’m well enough to go for a short run.
I really hope it’s raining later on for the event as that’s my favourite weather to run in.
It’s been a challenging week or so because I don’t tend to get sick as such. Yes I have sever complex autoimmune issues which I work hard to stay on top of (hence the living like a food Saint, never drinking alcohol, and doing as much exercise as my energy levels allow.) So this has been a really test for my sense of humour as I’ll normally just push on through.

The thing about my situation is that I have to keep being this person no matter what else is happening in my life because I need a certain outcome.
You’d be amazed at the parallels you can draw from that when someone is on a fertility journey!
It’s also worth saying that the plans I wrote /write are the very same foundations I set for my own fertility journey and the thing that keeps me really quite healthy considering the state my body is actually in.
Yea it’s a challenge to unrelentingly keep going every day but I know deep in my heart it’s what I have to do. So I just get on with it.

So, let’s hope this run is a good one and it motivates me to go again on Tuesday evening too 🙏

I love it when people tell me they’ve had weird signs, odd things happening and down right coincidence moments.

I decided today that I’d spend some of my time organising a tall boy in my room.
I’m still not feeling good, that’s over a week of no running 😱😭 and I’ve had to miss work which really sucks.

Pulled out a handful of documents to file and these three cards appeared from nowhere. I have absolutely no idea how they got in the drawer and I certainly didn’t put them there.
That will remain a mystery….

But the combination they make and their meaning has filled my heart with joy.
Only good things will come from this and it made me chuckle a little as my favourite would laugh his head off at my excitement.
He undoubtedly thinks I’m a weirdo 😂😂
I’m the kind of weirdo who finds positives in everything, I take pride in caring for my loved ones and being their biggest cheerleaders.
Judging by those cards I am about to get back a whole bunch of what I put in 😍😍
Watch this space I think 🤔

Let’s look at that in a positive way.
2022 is almost over.
In a professional sense it has flown by for me.
Some of my clients from this year will most definitely be with me going into next year due to the nature/complexity of their situation.
I commend their dedication and determination.
Length of time to conceive is only a reflection on the battle you had not your lack of ability to get pregnant 😞
It really bothers me when someone comes to me having had medical intervention and they start the dialogue with “you’re our last resort”
Someone, somehow, somewhere has made them feel like they are out of options.

I want to be clear about two important facts.
Our statistics/outcomes are over 90% of clients who have treatment with us get the outcome they wanted.
Secondly I wish that they’d found us first not last.
Imagine how different their journey would have been….

Yes, an average treatment plan is 3 months.
Yes we have amazing outcomes.

All of these journeys with us began with a £50 consultation 🙂

It’s also worth me saying at this point that annually between 3-5% of our client base get pregnant prior to starting a treatment plan after a consultation. I love this.

The beautiful part of holistically supportive plans are that we have literally hundreds of options available to use.

31/08/2022

September is 1 sleep away
The average treatment plan with us lasts 3 months.
2022 could still be your year.
