We want to give a huge shout-out to Neuadd Ogwen, a wonderful accessible and friendly venue in Bethesda that has become a favourite of Gig Buddies.

Over the past few weeks we've been to several gigs at Neuadd Ogwen, Bethesda.

Paul and Hedydd saw Gwenno. Zoe and Rachel saw NIRVANA UK and Vic and Kai went to see W***y Mason - Paul even got to hang out with Gwenno after the gig.

Paul said: "The gig at Neuadd Ogwen was brilliant - great atmosphere, autism and learning disability friendly big space. Gwenno and I had a chat about gigs and in general conversations. I recommend the venue for gigs - you pay by card and if you don't have a bank account ask your buddy volunteer that's my tip."

Kai also wants to add that “you can get a cup of tea whilst watching a gig at Neuadd Ogwen – which is amazing!”

Bu Paul a Hedydd yn gweld Gwenno. Aeth Zoe a Rachel i weld Nirvana UK, ac aeth Vic a Kai i weld W***y Mason. Cafodd Paul dreulio amser efo Gwenno ar ôl y gig hyd yn oed.

Dywedodd Paul: "Roedd y gig yn Neuadd Ogwen yn wych - awyrgylch grêt, digonedd o le ac yn ystyriol o awtistiaeth ac anableddau dysgu. Cefais sgwrs â Gwenno am gigiau a phethau cyffredinol eraill. Dwi'n argymell y lleoliad ar gyfer gigiau - da chi'n talu efo cerdyn ac os nad oes gynnoch chi gyfrif banc fedrwch chi ofyn am help gan eich ffrind gig!"

A huge diolch yn fawr to the The Welsh Rugby Union for giving gig buddies tickets to Wales v Argentina at the Principality Stadium – for some it was their first rugby match!

Gig buddies from Cardiff met in a very crowded pub before the match to soak up the atmosphere and get to know each other, whilst buddies from Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot caught the train and opted for a pre-match burger.

We had great seats and cheered Wales on throughout. It was a shame about the result, but it was a big success for gig buddies getting the opportunity to enjoy what they love and make new friendships.

Gig buddy Richie is doing an amazing job chairing the Learning Disability Wales annual conference in Swansea today - there were gasps and applause when Richie told the audience he has been to 96 gigs so far this year. Da iawn Richie! 🤘🏽💥🎸

This is the moment Getdown Services gave gig buddy Richie a shout-out during their packed-out show at Tramshed Cardiff during Sŵn Festival - followed by the entire crowd chanting Richie's name! 🥹✨

It was Richie's 91st gig of the year! 🏆💥

A huge diolch and hugs to Ben and Josh from Getdown Services for the awesome shout-out - and to everyone at Sŵn for such an amazing festival.

And a HUGE da iawn to Richie for such a landmark achievement! 🏆👏🏽

Isle of Anglesey/Ynys Môn gig buddies Victoria and Nicolle went to see Bronwen Lewis Music on her "Finding Me" Tour at Pontio Bangor last week!

Victoria said "Bronwen has such an amazing singing voice, beautiful songs and such heartwarming life stories. It's incredible to think that I listen to Bronwen's show on BBC Radio Wales, and now I can say I have seen her in-person. Bronwen, it's fair to say you have a new lifetime fan now!"
