The sacred Paduka (footwear) of Lord Vitthal are journeying through 22+ countries as part of a global pilgrimage carrying the divine energy of Pandharpur’s Vitthal-Rakhumai temple, nestled on the banks of the Chandrabhaga River, to devotees worldwide.

This afternoon was truly special at Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama - Coleg Brenhinol Cerdd a Drama Cymruin collaboration with .

In the traditionally male-dominated world of Qawwali, it was an absolute delight and a powerful symbol of musical evolution to be a female voice to join the legendary world famous Qawal Najmuddin Saifuddin & Brothers on stage.

None of us knew how it would unfold, especially without any rehearsal, what a beautiful surprise it turned out to be.

The event began with a moving short film that illuminated the soul of Qawwali, followed by an unforgettable performance featuring classical Raagas like Tarana in Bahar, Kase Kahi Mohe Lage in Mishra Khamaj, and Phool Khile in Basant Bahar.

They also brought the house down with iconic Sufi kalams like Mera Piya Ghar Aaya and Dum Mast Qalandar.

And for me personally singing Chap Tilak with them in a Yaman/Maru Bihag mishra was pure joy. Will share video soon.

A heartfelt experience. A sign of changing times. A celebration of tradition and new voices blending as one.

Truly special performing at Bella Vita Festival under the open sky, surrounded by nature’s beauty. 🌿
I started with a classical piece and ended up on a high with some fast-paced numbers, all in the moment.

The best part? I met the accompanying musicians right on stage… they had no idea what I was going to sing!
And yet, somehow, it all just flowed.
The audience joined in with such energy ,a proof that music needs no rehearsal to create harmony, peace, and pure love. 💖🎶
