Meddygfa Canna Surgery agrees 100% with BMA & will fully support a GP Referendum.

It is extremely disappointing that Welsh Governments decision to disregard the serious concerns and valuable contribution of general practice in Wales, as the BMA say ‘it is beyond insulting, it is dangerous, leaving more surgeries and their patients in peril.

We are all deeply concerned that this will leave more practices with no option but to reduce services and close their doors. GP practices are being denied the resources they need to deliver vital services to the population’.

This funding was due from April 24 to cover increases in practice workforce, building & increasing business costs.

Difficult decisions will need to be made by all GP Practices to survive this financial crisis.

If you are concerned about the future of your practice, please contact your Senedd Member & MP ASAP.

🚨BMA Wales’ GP committee has unanimously rejected the Welsh Government 2024/25 GMS contract offer. GPs will now vote on whether to accept or reject the contract in a referendum this month.
