What is MLD and why is it different?

👉It uses extremely light pressure
MLD works on the superficial lymph vessels just under the skin, so the touch is gentle and slow—unlike deep tissue or sculpting massage, which uses firm pressure on muscles and fascia.

👉It follows the direction of lymph flow
The strokes are carefully mapped to move fluid toward lymph nodes and drainage pathways, whereas regular massage focuses on muscles and sculpting techniques focus on contouring and appearance rather than physiological drainage.

👉It is therapeutic, not aesthetic-first
MLD is designed to reduce swelling, support detoxification, and improve circulation for medical and wellness reasons; sculpting lymphatic massage may use similar movements but is primarily aimed at body shaping or facial definition.

👉It does not create soreness
Because MLD does not manipulate muscle tissue, it should never feel painful or leave you sore afterward—unlike deep massage or body sculpting techniques that intentionally work deeper layers.

👉It supports the immune and fluid systems
MLD directly assists the lymphatic system in clearing excess fluid and waste, while traditional massage targets muscular tension and sculpting techniques focus on appearance rather than internal lymph function.

For any treatments booked after today's date (Friday January 2nd 2026), the new times and prices will take effect. For treatments booked in the diary already, these treatments will not be effected.

🤎We have added exciting add-ons to treatments to make each service customisable, bringing our valued clients more choice.

🤎 We will be introducing a specialist treatment and explaining what our branding will look like in 2026.

🤎 We love our OG clients so discounts will be on-route to make sure you still feel you are as important to us as you did on day 1 (emails to follow).

For anyone who doesn’t love showing their body — trust me, you’re not alone (queue the off days and chronic over-thinking)..

But here’s the thing: your body deserves good things even on the days you’re not feeling 100% confident.

And as a massage therapist, let me be real… we really don’t care(in the politest way 😜) what your body looks like at all. We’re not judging your tummy, your thighs, your stretch marks, your birthmarks, any of it. We’re over here thinking about muscles, tension, and how to help you leave feeling like a melted stick of butter.🧈

So if you’ve been avoiding booking a massage because you feel shy, consider this your friendly nudge: show up exactly as you are. No filters, no posing, no ‘perfect.’

We know for you it can be a big thing and we’d never undermine that. We can talk about it at your consultation - let us reassure you that you’re in a safe space. Remember for us we see hundreds of bodies so we will forget what your body looks like the moment you leave (we won’t forget that beautiful personality of course) ❤️

We talk a lot about inclusivity in wellness — but it’s hard to feel included when the spaces don’t reflect you, the products aren’t made for you, and the ‘community’ feels more like a curated aesthetic. 💭

True wellness isn’t filtered. It’s sporadic, diverse, and human. It allows space for everyBODY and the attitudes of the people providing those services mean just as much as the treatments they provide.

Equity, equality and inclusivity is not the same. This is a message close to my heart as I have experienced; and continue to hear my clients have experienced inaccessible, unfriendly, morally bankrupt ‘wellness’ spots.

As more spaces are popping up, do the research, read the reviews and remember you’re a f**king GIFT and don’t tell anyone make you feel otherwise (especially when you’re paying for it )
