Know much about baby resuscitation? It's incredibly important to know.

Below are a few things to look out for: DRAB

Danger - Make sure that you, the baby and any bystanders are safe.

Response - Gently tap the shoulders and shout to try to wake the baby.

Airway - Lay the baby on a firm surface and open the airway: With your hand on the forehead and fingertips under the chin, gently tilt the head into a neutral position by lifting the chin to open the airway. DO NOT over-extend the neck.

Breathing - Look, listen and feel for normal breathing for no more than 10 seconds. A baby who is barely breathing, or taking infrequent, slow and noisy gasps is NOT breathing normally.

Special offer on November 2025 dates - Contact admin@ajuda.org.uk or ring 02920576883 to secure your space now.
