Congratulations to Anwen Butten, who received her MBE yesterday at Windsor Castle from HRH The Prince of Wales. A well-deserved honour recognising her outstanding contribution to lawn bowls, cancer care, and her wider work in communities across Wales.

Congratulations to Danny Davies Jnr and Ross Owen on winning the Ambassador Cruise Line World Bowls Pairs Qualifier held at Radnorshire IBC yesterday.

Emerging from a strong field of 38 pairs, Danny and Ross secured their place to represent at the 2026 Ambassador Cruise Line World Indoor Bowls Championships, held at Potters Resort.

The duo will also travel to Malaysia in the coming weeks to compete in the inaugural World Cup, alongside the women’s pairing of Amy Williams and Caroline Taylor.

𝗛𝗨𝗚𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧!

We’re proud to announce that Ocean Grove Bowling Club has officially secured the 2026 World Bowls Indoor Championship - one of the most prestigious international events in the sport.

This six-day championship, co-sanctioned by World Bowls and the International Indoor Bowls Council, will bring elite bowlers from over 32 nations to the Bellarine in May 2026, showcasing our newly redeveloped world-class undercover Dome.

The event is proudly supported by the Victorian Government through Visit Victoria, reinforcing Victoria’s reputation for hosting world-class sporting events that boost local communities and regional economies.

World Bowls Indoor Championship is scheduled for 11th May - 16th May 2026.
