That’s a wrap on our Feel Good Fiesta 2025!

This week, React Residents and Staff Team have engaged in numerous activities focusing on many ways to enhance wellbeing. We have had such a positive and engaging week, and we are thankful to everybody that has participated.

We have wrapped up in style today with a sizzling BBQ party in our Cadoc Service garden, complete with delicious food and live music by Residents and Staff! 🥳🍔🌭

The last workshop of the day has been carried out by our Senior Support Worker, Boni, Colliers Manager, Jenna and Support Worker, Rosie. Individuals got creative by making their own ‘manifest mood-board’ using images, words and quotes to represent future goals and took these positive and creative outcomes home.

🌟 Thrive Thursday Kick-off! 🌟

What an insightful start to day 4 of the Feel Good Fiesta! We were so lucky to have Sophie Bennett from Social Care Wales join us this morning to talk about "Supporting Social Care Employers in Wales." 💬

A huge thanks to our Senior Managers, Ceri-Ann and Karolina, and People Coordinator, Ellie, for being there to support and answer any further questions our amazing Staff Team had.

It was a fantastic session with plenty of takeaways to help us continue to grow and support one another in this important work! 💙

Today during our ‘Workout Wednesday’ we have explored ways we can try something new and also make a difference.

We kicked off the morning with a game of tennis at Cardiff Met Tennis Centre, led by Supported Living Newport Manager, Rhian and our Referrals Manager, Alex and Deputy Manager, Chloe. It was a great start to the morning. 🎾

This afternoon, our Senior Manager, Karolina, Deputy Manager, Sophie and Support Workers, John and Patrick participated in a beach clean at Barry with some of our Individuals! Thank you to those who were involved 🌞

We have had another full day during our ‘Talk Tuesday’!

Today we learnt some Welsh, with the theme being emotions. Thank you to our support workers; Katey, Graice, Hollie-Mai and Tom for leading today’s sessions. Da Iawn! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

We also had our Clinical Nurse Specialists, Dena and Julie accompanied Individuals on a ‘Walk and Talk’ down Cardiff Bay barrage on this beautiful day! 🌞

Our People Coordinator, Ellie and Creative Engagement Coordinator, Emmanuella, delivered tea-time break baskets to all the services, along with a new implementation of ‘Pocket for your thought’ whereby our staff team can share positive experiences. ☕️

Thank you to Animals Interactive for bringing along some unusual animals for us to meet. We have had such a great afternoon handling and learning about these incredible animals, which included; large snake, bearded dragon, Guinea pigs, meerkat and owl and many more. To kick off our Feel Good Fiesta week, Support Worker, Zoya and Senior Support Worker, Amy have held a mindfulness session during our Mindful Monday. They led Individuals through guided meditation and discussed grounding techniques. Individuals were also able to take away their own sensory goody bags, along with a resource created by St John’s Manager, Bryony on sensory activities.

They have done it - and with time to spare!!

Congratulations to Andrew, Michael and Seb who took on the National 3 Peaks Challenge! They completed the challenge in 23 hours and 5 minutes. BIG thank you to Finance Director, Andrew Richards for driving the team safely! Thank you to those that have sponsored the team, we have raised an incredible £3,560 towards building an eco-classroom for Brynawel Treatment Centre

At 5pm today, the React Team commenced the National 3 Peak Challenge, starting with Ben Nevis, Scotland which they must complete within 24 hours!

We’re supporting a fantastic charity, Brynawel Treatment Centre who are looking to build an eco-classroom within their grounds. The sustainable structure will be built from wood and powered by solar panels. It will be used by guests for creative and mindful sessions, such as yoga and pottery, creating a space for guests to express themselves creatively and develop coping skills. It will also be used as a teaching space for staff to educate healthcare students and professionals about addiction.
