Sarah Das - Lactation Consultant & Reflexologist London & Wales

Sarah Das - Lactation Consultant & Reflexologist London & Wales I am an experienced midwife. I prepare women for birth and give breastfeeding support in the home after birth.

I trained as a nurse and midwife in the 80s and obtained my degree from the University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff. My midwifery career has been in the UK and Singapore for the last 25 years, working in clinical practice and research. My various clinical roles include high-risk hospital midwifery and community based midwifery, including homebirths and waterbirths. I trained as a reflexologist with the Bayly School in 1995 and have treated men and women complimentary to my work as a midwife, since then. More recently I worked as a freelance doula and midwife in Singapore, in a role that allowed me to give women the support that they wanted in labour – at home and in hospital. Birth preparation and breastfeeding support were a big part of my role. I encourage and support women to breastfeed their babies and I have many years of experience of helping mums to breastfeed babies in the first month after birth. I am now based in London again and currently work part-time at the Birth Company, Harley Street, complimentary to my freelance work preparing women for birth, supporting women after birth, as a birth coach and reflexologist.
