It is with the heaviest heart that I have to take a step back from my dream. I have to take some time to put my family first. I have always wanted my service to be accessible and affordable and always delivering the highest standard. That is just not possible right now in this financial climate and as I navigate motherhood.
So I am taking a break for a little while, to find my feet and to work on bigger plans!

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey. It’s been a dream 6 years and I am so incredibly proud of the service I made and developed in that time.

This superstar is currently splitting her time between NHS and CSLT! We are so thrilled to have her on board!

We’ve had a recent influx of parents coming to the office to book appointments. Our therapists are usually out in the community carrying out sessions or if they are in the office, they are typically delivering training.
We are also currently fully booked. So the best way to speak with us is to send an email and someone will get back to you as soon as they can.

As part of the wonderful are taking over socials to amplify black voices in the SLT community.
I (sinead) was absolutely humbled to be asked to be included in this event. It is so important to have a platform for minorities in this profession if we have any hope of creating a more diverse and inclusive future profession.

💜 Today is DLD Awareness Day 💜

💬 DLD (Developmental Language Disorder) is a neuro-developmental condition that affects children's language development
💬 DLD is a lifelong condition. Children with DLD, become adults with DLD.
💬 DLD is a specific difficulty in understanding and using language.
💬 DLD affects 1 in 14 people (yes, that's approximately two children in every classroom), making it one of the most prevalent childhood disorders.
💬 DLD id often under-recognised, leading to delays in diagnosis and intervention.
💬 Having DLD can impact on education attainment, employment opportunities and later mental health and wellbeing.

We need you to raise awareness of DLD. We need teachers to be aware of it to enable early diagnosis. We need more awareness so more funding goes into specialist SLT services to provide adequate support.
