And, eh, how are you sitting right now? 😜 Probably something like in this video?
Don’t worry, this isn’t a “you should have perfect posture all the time” post, because honestly that’s impossible. You CAN’T have perfect posture all the time.
Instead, it’s actually more important to think about changing positions often.
Sit down, then sit up straight, then lie down, slouch one way, slouch the other, sit tall, recline, fix your posture again, then let it go and slouch again etc etc.
Because if there’s one thing our body hates, it’s sitting still in one position for too long.
That’s why it’s so important to move, so you don’t put extra strain on your back, shoulders or neck.
So the more you move, the better you’ll feel.
And of course, in my non-biased opinion, I would also highly recommend Pilates to help you move better, to strengthen your posture muscles and to help your poor aching back.
Coz this is exactly what I teach in my Pilates classes, whether online or face to face.
