Activate Yoga has officially been named Wellness Business of the Year Cumbria 2026 by My Local Awards… and honestly, I’m blown away.

To every single person who voted, shared, supported, attended a class, came to a retreat, joined a sound bath, liked a post, recommended me to a friend, or simply believed in what I do - thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🫂

This business has never just been about yoga. It’s about connection, community, healing, laughter, growth, creativity, and creating spaces where people feel welcome exactly as they are.

I feel incredibly lucky to do work that I genuinely love every single day, and even luckier to have the most supportive, kind and amazing community around me. You are what makes Activate Yoga what it is 💜

My passion has always been to help people feel better physically, mentally and emotionally through yoga, mindfulness, sound healing, creativity, education and retreats - and to spread as much joy and positivity as possible along the way.

It's lovely being a student and enjoying this gorgeous beach yoga and sound bath on the beach with Asana Tribe Yoga Spain in Málaga on the last day of the Hendo 🤩☀️ definitely needed after a full on weekend of dancing!

I got back very early morning on Wednesday just after 3am. So glad to be back teaching classes! The style for yoga this week has been Spanish themed which has been so much fun!

And I'm off for a few days to Málaga ✈️ I arrive back early hours of Wednesday morning in the UK so please check the timetable online for slight changes this coming week 👇🏼

No yoga classes on Tuesday 21st at Dalston - an alternative class is available next week as a substitute for the lunch time yoga - it will be at 1.30pm on Thursday 23rd at Dalston Recreation centre.

Wednesday evening yoga at Wigton and Thursday evening at Currock are on as normal.

Home ed sessions happening as normal on Monday at Currock but with somebody else covering 😊

Everything is updated on the website for you to book your classes, including the alternative class on Thursday at Dalston for the lunch class.

39 souls balanced & grounded after this immersive Root Chakra Sound Bath tonight at Currock Community Centre 🪾

Thank you to all that came tonight, I absolutely love the deep tones, earthy notes and tribal drums with the low sounds of the gongs 🎶 what a grounding experience this was!

On Sunday 12th April (5–6:30pm), I’m holding a deeply grounding Root Chakra Sound Bath at Currock Community Centre – and if you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, unsettled, or just a bit off lately, this one is for you 🤍

We’ll begin with a gentle guided meditation to help you fully switch off…

Then you’ll simply lie down, get cosy, and be immersed in the sound of deep tone singing bowls, gongs, drums & more – letting the vibrations do the work for you.

No movement.
No pressure.
Nothing to “get right”.
Just deep rest.

Root chakra work is all about feeling safe, grounded and supported – like you can finally exhale again 🌿

And honestly… that’s what so many of us need right now.

How I like to heal - by reconnecting with where we are truly from - the land itself, the trees, mountains, rock, water, birds, sky - you can just about get this fix anywhere. It's choosing those moments to enjoy earth 🌎

Yesterday on our 26k hike around Kentmere Horseshoe 🥾 🌄 we ticked off another 11 Wainwrights! The early start to our day had a beautiful sunrise, which gave me that buzz even more to be motivated and get out on the road early as we had a bit of a way to drive to where we needed to park.

Held such a beautiful space today in Armathwaite 🪶
