BLOG POST! Have you been thinking about counselling for a while but are uncertain if it's right for you? Perhaps you had an experience once that put you off? Or maybe comments from others might have put you off?

Whose stress are you carrying? One of the areas I offer people support with is stress?

Sometimes I work with people to thought storm the stress in their lives? What is causing the most stress ? I then work with them to identify where the stress is coming from, how it's impacting their lives, and looking at different coping strategies that can help them. πŸ™‚

Interestingly when we are feeling stressed it's not always about our stuff. It can be that we are holding onto others stress. Through counselling I can offer you support in improving communication and setting boundaries so the only stress you have to manage is yours. πŸ™‚

If you think you would like some help with this why not get in touch, so we can have a chat about how I might be able to support you with this. πŸ™‚

LET'S TALK!! Journeys, travel, direction.

I have always loved travelling and exploring. For me it's not always about going to exotic places. It can be an opportunity to explore, learn, and discover alternative routes.

I often think counselling can be like a journey. It can help us explore certain aspects of our lives, look at things from a different perspective, and perhaps find an alternative route. πŸ™‚

It's not always about the A to B route, sometimes it can be about taking a detour to X, Y and Z before getting to B. πŸ™‚

If you are feeling a little lost, confused, or your life is lacking direction right now; it can help to contemplate where you would like your journey to end up and what small steps you need to take to get there. Journeys don't always need to be completed in one go, they can have stop of points to enjoy the view sometimes too. πŸ™‚

BLOG POST..LIMITING BELIEFS.

Does a lack of self belief hold you back from doing the things you enjoy? Are you held back from achieving your goals because of old messages, thoughts, or beliefs that you have received from yourself or others? If so, you might be interested in taking a look at this week's blog post on limiting beliefs.

How many of you have ever had thoughts like the following ones? I would like to do that BUT I might not be very good at it. I would like to do that BUT what if I fail I would like to try this BUT X said it wouldn’t work for me? I would like to have done this BUT when I was at school I wasn’t ver...

BLOG POST! Today I am re sharing a post on relationships and how to improve them. Relationships, whether they are family, romantic, friendship, or others, can be a source of joy, fun, love, and support. They can also, at times, be complex and difficult.

This post offers ways to help and manage them more easily.

Within our lives, we develop many different relationships whether family, romantic partners, friendships, work, acquaintances, or other kinds. Whilst relationships can be a source of love, fun, pleasure, enjoyment, and they can influence our lives in many other positive and rewarding ways. They can....

COPING STRATEGIES beginning with B..

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned developing an A to Z of coping strategies. πŸ™‚It was an idea that came as a result of a self harm training I did recently.

Today I would like to mention a coping strategy beginning with B. Breathing.

Breathing is I believe one of the most valuable coping strategies we have at our fingertips. It's something anyone can do. πŸ™‚

What I often suggest to my clients is sitting with your feet firmly on the ground and taking 3 deep breaths in and out. This might sound simple but it can make a difference.

Today I would like to share a You Tube recording called the 3 minute breathing space. Not only does it focus on breathing but it focuses on mindfulness too, another really useful coping technique. πŸ™‚
